Well speaking from experience with my wife who was sexually molested for almost ten years by her father things like that can trigger it. She is an entirely different person from when she is in front of other people to when she is alone with me. Part of it is her acting out a childhood of sorts because her real childhood wasn't much of one in the first place. That aspect used to bother me because I thought I was doing something wrong by the act of being her husband with her treating me like I was her dad. After seeking the advice of a psychiatrist I found out for her it is a way of overwriting those painful memories. She was sexually molested by her father. It was something she did not want. She did not want a sexual relationship with her own father. But she DOES want a sexual relationship with me. So by playing out that part in a way she is truly comfortable with she is slowly changing those fears and alleviating some of that trauma. I can understand how that would still weird some people out but for her it is healing. I hope you can come to at least understand that at least a little.
