Mari is such a peak, cute, bossy office lady who ends up getting the happy ending she deserves.

All the primo commentators are rolling out for this story. When I first came to Fakku, it was for the lewd. Now I relish upvoting and chuckling with the hentai nerd revelry.

I am still vexxed when my aversion to rape is overcome by well-designed character art and lewd work, but I have started to be more forgiving about letting the act live in fiction. Still bring out the wrath when someone jokes about commiting rape.

When one enters the World of Hentai, where transgressive behavior
is the rule, one must always be prepared to be forgiving and, above
all, tolerant and nonjudgmental. That philosophy has served me well.

We know why we're here. I've lowered my standards many times to enjoy a story with amazing artwork.
But yeah.... the rape tones kinda ruin what the author was going for, my boi could've ease up the tension between him and her boss instead of giving her back shots. After all, she was just trying to make sense of what happened yesterday.
Other than that scene at the beginning, I actually enjoyed the bossy tug of war relationship.

It might be vanilla at the end but this story just makes me uncomfortable. The MC is a forceful dumbass & the whole thing has rape undertones.
Not that I sympathize with the FMC either. I used to have a superior that has the same bitch ass attitude as she does, treating lower-rung employees like dirt after getting a promotion. No, stress is not a fucking excuse to be an abusive asshole at work. Fuck off with that noise.

At least by the end it has a vanilla ending! Oh god people should stop taking everything in Hentai serious it’s a work of fiction it’s just drawings! If you did not enjoy the story just move on cuz everyone knows rape is bad. Otherwise you look like Jack Thompson back in the 1990s who is known for his role as an anti-video-game activist, particularly against violence and sex in video games and we all know what happened to him. So whenever reading fiction just realize it is just fiction and not reality!

Could be more vanilla tbh. The ending is perfect but the earlier stuff and the whole “he forced himself on me all the time” well “that wasn’t very vanilla ice cream of you.”
Still hot as hell so it doesn’t matter but like-
You know.

On the first page, Mari wakes up naked alone, and
on the last page, she wakes up naked with Kiyomi,
which is a neat bit of "bookending."
(P.S. Mari has nice tits.)

Aww, you guys! I have been saying this for years. It doesn't matter if they retcon a redeeming quality, he still forced himself on her in the office at the bear minimum. Not to mention all the times before she succumbed to Stockholm Syndrome and just accepted him.

Truly a shame. It’s weird though, there’s nothing wrong with liking or enjoying such content. I can’t judge someone for liking ero-guro or making content and it says nothing about how they would act in reality. But why go to lengths to rationalize a behaviour that strikes as at least morally dubious as acceptable?

@gammenon:
There are clues that suggest Mari is not entirely averse to being forced.
For example, when Mari says, "Wait! No! Not out here!" (page 9, panels
1-3), a lustful horndog like Kiyomi could easily interpret that as a veiled
invitation:
"I'm willing to have sex with you (again), but this is the wrong place."
And that's an important point: They've already had sex, and they're
still emotionally keyed-up from the night before. As normal, healthy
adults, both of them (even Mari) are eager to repeat the experience.

Well, the problem with the rape angle in the office scene is she let him plow into her with just saying no - no pushing away, no walking or running away, yelling for help in extreme cases - which is what victims do. This should have been at the very worse a sexual harassment claim with her being undefiled and then him being escorted out of the building. And victims don't tongue twirl the perpetrator back.

@Sogeking79:
Referring to "Stockholm Syndrome" is a bit much. There's an implication
that Mari---stern and domineering in the office---is one of those extreme
tsundere types who subconsciously enjoy being sexually dominated.
In any case, I will readily concede this chapter is pushing the "vanilla
envelope" really hard when it comes to the depiction of coercive sex.

Agreed, this manga depicts rape, it was hot and it is okay to find it sexy in a fictional depiction but it is important to acknowledge that it would be wrong to do the things done in this manga unless in the form of a roleplayed scenario with another consenting adult, preferably with a prearranged safeword.

@H-Connoisseur True it’s a fictional reality and I haven’t said anything that people shouldn’t write such stories or that we aren’t free to interpret character’s motivations. But it is in poor taste to treat material in certain genre where we already have rules established. If this was as treated as NTR or mindbreak with an ending reflecting that genre, I’d have no complaints. The author intended this piece to be a vanilla work, and there are tropes and rules in a vanilla fictional world that we all know of. Not all pieces are in good taste.
But let’s not pretend that interpretations are not rooted in reality. A complete suspension of disbelief regarding that of fictional characters in the fictional world prevent us from even establishing genres or interpretations. How are we supposed to establish agency, taking advantage of people, romance, considering characters as humans with human attributes, etc without in some part relating it to reality? And it’s not like people come up with interpretations in a vacuum and it’s not like an author does not use real human conveyances of emotion such as discomfort, pleasure or confusion. If the FL here says no, is being forcefully penetrated against her will, states that she’s feeling pleasure against her will and we see her thoughts about feeling dehumanized- yes perhaps you can interpret it as an extreme example of tsundere tropes but that ironically bends the fictional rules in the vanillaverse to such an extent that requires drastic rationalization about concepts such as consent and human dignity established in vanilla works. How people rationalize fictional behaviours can be used to infer one’s approach to rationalizing ideas in general. A true reflection of the relations between fiction and reality require that it’s impossible for any author or reader to separate their biases towards the real world from application to a fictional setting.
Nothing of what I said has to do with censorship or that people shouldn’t write such stories. But you can always criticise a piece and say that it’s in bad taste because it just becomes incontrovertibly difficult to justify good taste.

Ironically, you seem to be confusing fiction with reality. We're talking about
imaginary characters in an imaginary story in an imaginary H-World where
real-world rules are usually suspended. No real people are being abused.
We're free to speculate about the characters' (imaginary) motivations, and
we're free to rationalize their (imaginary) actions.
Most importantly, the eromangaka are free to write any sort of story they
please, no matter how offensive, subversive, or transgressive it might be.

I think it’s how the author just decided to spin a vanilla ending at the end that †˜s disgusting. It’s in poor taste for the genre- like don’t try to frame it as a vanilla happy ending story when it obviously isn’t. The controversy here is when others try to rationalize the motivations of the characters as if it were in a vanilla setting. He’s a POS and she’s being toyed with against her will- it’s rape not roleplaying and anything justifying the ML’s actions is what calls into question understanding of fiction vs reality.

Uh, ... Well That Escalated In A Most Unusual Way. IMHO, seems that Senpai might have been subconsciously seeking a way out of the 'Rat Race' and all the seeming crap she has to put up with, especially office parties and fending off drunken advances of some of her co-workers.
At least when the truth came out, Kouhai demonstrated by actions rather than words that he was willing to "take responsibility".
Final Conclusion, at least for me: "Yo Dawg, That's Some DEEP SHIT!"
