I didn't expect for this chapter to get a kinda serious like that. For Kotone to confess to Kouki that she both has been love him for long time but also that she messed up and had her first time to another guy, took guts for her to do. And with sincere tears in her eyes she tells Kouki she regrets that it wasn't him. Then after some mutual osananajimi vanilla, Kouki tells her he wont let that bother him and they can both move on and be just be happy together. Respect.

-@69titty69, while this is just my assumption, Kotone mentions she was at camp non-stop and I guess after all that Nairu-san from Wani University asks her out for drinks but since she's in highschool she cant, so he does, probably gets drunk and as her Senpai (since he's the age he can drink and she cant), he makes a move on her and from a mix of Senpai peer pressure, exhaustion, or being scared what would happen to her if she told Nairu-san no, it happens. I mean there's nothing to doubt Kotone's regret or sincerity.
Honestly I'm not thinking too much about it since she does tell Kouki about it and they both move on as a osananajimi couple. Plus vanilla.

This was a really good bittersweet story. The face of it shows a girl who went through a recent bad experience that helped her realize what matters most to her, but there is still the possibility that she is not completely truthful in her telling of what happened and there may be some serious issues underlying this new relationship. That doubt about what's she really thinking adds that spice that makes the story really stand out.

The fear is that reason she slept with her coach is because she liked him. He is most likely an extremely handsome and successful older man she would have gladly dated. Her regret is that she was just a one night stand. That night forces her to deal with the fact she is an easier girl than she originally thought she was, and that she isn't as valuable of a woman as she thought because her coach won't date her. She then immediately jumps on a boy she has known for a long time because she's sure he wouldn't reject her and she can avoid her self doubt over her own sluttiness by being in a relationship. He is nowhere near her level as she is a world class athlete, so what's actually stopping if she ever accepts her sexuality and loses her fear of sleeping around?

What's great is that everything I've state is pure speculation that could very well not be true. However, it highlights how the girl hasn't done anything to show that she actually loves him and wants to be in a committed relationship beyond being an easy girl to sleep with, and she's already done that with someone else.

IMHO, story has more Deep Shit than Vanilla.
