Dude literally quit his job and blocked contact with her rather than have a single conversation with her addressing the situation. There's dense and then there's this.

Hinasaki Yo vanilla is somewhat different, like it has this more mature aura looming from within. May be that's how the author is able to manage both vanilla & cheating so well and this got me as well.

MC (Keiskue-kun) gets roped into *koff-koff* "stress relief" for the Ojou-sama (tag requested). Perhaps that spilling of a teacup functioned as a wingman in this instance. And although perhaps for the sake of appearances, Kiyoka-sama initially keeps him in the position of "doggy", her expressions during "stress relief" sessions scream unmistakingly: "Hey Mikey, I Think She Likes It!"

Cue the obligatory "failure to communicate" moment to get him to assert himself enough to confess his true feelings, and in return, she engages Relationship Upgrade (he's now her lover, even though she's still the dominant one in the relationship). Ah well, could be worse.

Again, while waiting patiently for the continuation of "The Twilight Sometimes Whispers" (those who recognize the name will understand), Hinasaki-sensei's newest effort is "APPROVED!"
