At least they get a "happy" ending, even though it's bittersweet..
Anna is still a cute, good girl, even as a zombie.
In hentai, anything is possible.
So far each of Momoyama Hato's chapter contain various levels of "feels".

Hentai has always been and will forever be a fever dream. It is what you get when you combine "There is absolutely no way this would ever actually happen" with "I really wish this would happen to me" (most of the time) and as much as I hate it for being that way I can't stop.

Momoyama Hato's chapters are almost inexpressibly
sad. They really get under your skin. They Who Over-
come Winter is one of the saddest chapters on Fakku.
When Kento indulges Anna's lingering desire to wear
a bridal gown, it's almost unbearably sad & touching.
It also symbolizes his own desire to join her in death.

Are we past crossing the rubicon at this point? Time for a quote, "The guilt being great, the fear doth still exceed; And extreme fear can neither fight nor fly, But coward-like with trembling terror die"

In a way, this tale reminded me of RegDic's "Remote". Anyways, I'm pretty sure the guy didn't want to go but if he did, this was the way he would want to.

From the moment he buries Anna, Kento fully intends to die. He basically
commits suicide by allowing her to bite him, in order to atone for indirectly
causing her death (for which he feels especially guilty, since he badly hurt
Anna's feelings just before she died).
When Kento indulges Anna's lingering desire to wear a bridal gown,
that symbolizes his own desire to "marry" her by joining her in death.

My only question is who tied them up at the end? They both had mouth gags, and their hands were tied locking them into a hug, and they each had 1 leg tied to the other. The exterminators were just going to burn the building down and didn't seem to care that they were a couple. I guess the way they were tied would be difficult to escape the fire.
Side note - either he was either dead or alive. Not a zombie. He didn't get buried.

Here's my take:
Page 20, panel 1, strongly suggests that being bitten by Anna will turn Kento
into a zombie, in the usual manner.
Before losing his humanity, Kento tied their ankles together, and then gagged
Anna and himself to prevent any more biting (further proof he was infected).
Then he tied her wrists together, put his head between her arms, and locked
his arms around her, to achieve a permanent embrace. It doesn't look like his
own wrists are tied.
The only thing that puzzles me is why he bothered to put his clothes back on,
except perhaps to maintain some dignity, once he became fully zombie-fied.

@Sogeking79:
I suppose all of it is moot, because we know for certain
Kento and Anna finally found permanent rest together,
in a cleansing fire.
Still, why would Kento tape his own mouth shut, unless
he was afraid he would start gnawing on Anna, once he
became a mindless zombie?

I still believe he was dead at the end. Putting his clothes back on and tying himself to her would help sell the idea that he was a zombie so they would be exterminated together. The gags would prevent her from hurting anyone else. If you look close there is something on his wrist under the shirt. Also he had duct tape on his mouth she had rope.

This chapter made me almost want to puke. Not so much because of the melancholic story which I think was actually pretty decent but rather because this is just plain necrophilia no matter how bittersweetly you try to package it.
Yuck.
Yuck.

I agree this is plain necrophilia. It's as deplorable as these manga about shotacon and lolicon preying on 10 year old boys/girls.

If you dislike the necrophilia angle, that's okay, but I hope you weren't surprised
by it. After all, this is a hentai chapter about a dead girl. It would be quite surpris-
ing if necrophilia wasn't involved. This chapter is clearly meant to be disturbing
(as well as touching).

Wasn't surprised, just disgusted at the necrophilia with the corpse fucking. There is a discordant serenity between the zombie element in the story and the atmosphere its trying to set. I mean, there are other similar stories on Fakku that involves the same element in the form of Ghosts but those are usually less creepy because they don't involve an actual corpse being fucked.

"Vanilla" or not, the chapter needs the "horror" tag.
I mean, seriously...
It would also qualify as a genuine ero guro chapter,
if such a tag existed.

Does this qualify as necrophilia? This chapter is disturbing in so many ways,
yet it's also deeply touching, which is something only the Japanese can pull
off. It gets my vote for the most bittersweet chapter on Fakku.

Idk about this being about straight necrophilia...If she was an actual lifeless corpse, yeah, but the sci-fi horror aspect of her showing cognition kinda throws a monkey wrench in that assertion. It was also a little heartwarming for me, too.

This one needs a prequel about what had been going on with the burial scene in page 17, of how she had turned living dead probably.

Page 12 shows them on a date. She says she wants to get married in a dress. He says U.L.G.Y. You ain't got no alibi. She runs into the street for a meeting with Truck-kun. The clothes she was wearing during the date are still on her corpse. Minus the skirt and panties. Eww, I guess he had some "fun" before the burial?

In panel 5 on page 17, Kento says, "Soon... We'll see each other
soon... " That means the zombie plague has already begun, and
Kento is deliberately breaking the law (page 3, panel 2) by bury-
ing Anna, knowing she'll be revived as a zombie.

@co747:
You are very welcome. Note also that Kento is burying Anna in
an unceremonious way, by simply digging a hole in the ground.
He wouldn't be doing that unless he was aware that the author-
ities would promptly dispose of Anna if he took her to a funeral
home.

So the reincarnation occurs through a burial which got banned due to it's end result then, thought it was forbidden because of cruelty related stuff of prolonged lives but now I see, thanks.

This one truly gives a whole meaning to that now-a-memetic statement:
"Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru (You Are Already Dead)."
*crickets chirping* ..... I'll just leave this here on my way out.

I just cleaned it. He can go out the exit to the Slide That Narrows Slowly.
