Probably a fantastical case of "Mistaken Identity" ... but in the end, with the help of some alcohol, a hook-up was established.

EDIT: it's also going to lead to many jaw drops if and when Takeru and Aoi (his neighbor) are eventually asked: "How did you two first meet?"

Ok so everyone this chapter was a little confused, not just me lol. Glad it made sense by the end.
Take-kun opened his front door and ended the story with a smoking hot, short haired girlfriend who literally lives next door.
Vanilla happy ending achieved! (bonus points for her hair staying tucked behind her ear ❤)

But now I need answers!
Like what happened with the real Aoi-chan? Did she pass her exams? Is she still gonna visit Take-kun?

EDIT: To Eorzat - both Takeru's niece (I'm guessing) and his neighbor apparently share the same first name ... "Aoi" (please don't ask what are the odds of that).

To thedecline18 - Aoi-chan might still come visit Takeru, but if she has been in love with him since 10 years ago, things could potentially get ... er, complicated.

EDIT: To MHM-Done...the neighbor and the other Aoi sharing the same name literally has nothing to do with what was being asked. I'm not going to make this into a bigger deal since this is clearly some miscommunication, but re-read the comment.
