Personally, I say the "Age Of The Tsundere Female Archetype" is passing away, if not already dead. But once in a while, it's cute, so then, ..... I'LL ALLOW IT!
I disagree, maybe the classic tsundere isn't as prominent, but to say dying out or dead is one heck of a statement. More like it has evolved and has a more nuanced approach, but certainly not dead.
Maybe not quite dead, but it does feel like many have lost sight of the "tsundere moe gap", especially in doujinshi. You either really got to work the first few pages to show their tsundere nature, or give them a hard resolve to not "break" once things start heating up. In turn creating a larger gap when they finally do show their soft intimate side. Personally I think this story has a 'B grade' tsundere moe gap.
