Must have for any collection
I got this when it was Fakku's first physical book and it has held up well for being like ten years old. The stories are sweet, the book is high quality and the art is sublime. If you gonna get any single book this is the one.

I don't always want lovey-dovey vanilla stories on my reading list, but when I do,there is no one better than Homunculus. The stories are sweet and often funny. What makes them extraordinary, however, is the art. Some of the most beautiful faces and bodies can be found in the pages of these collections. I would buy them for the art alone.

Vanilla Perfection
Homunculus is the goat of vanilla and my opinion this is their best book. Great variety of scenarios, great variety of partners and body types, and it's all done well. Easy recommendation for any kind of buyer, but in particular a first time buyer. Homunculus has always been a phenomenal gateway drug into the hentai world and Renai Sample is a great place to start for anyone looking to get in. Not much else to say here, but the nature of vanilla makes that a compliment. It's exactly what you think it is, and often even better.

The start of my Homunculus fanboy arc
This was my first book from Homunculus, and from Fakku as well, and i fell in love. I loved the art, the dialogue, the characters, and the stories. Homunculus is why i keep checking back in on Fakku, i have all his books, and i eagerly await his 4th.

This was the first book that I purchased and actually the last, purely because I didn't want to pay so much, but I digress.
Honestly, I loved the book and I've read it so many times I lost count. It's a complete vanilla story with all the twists and turns that you'd want in a book. It's a type of story that most men would want to happen to them and most women would want to avoid, but it's still nice none the less.

A Lovely Introduction
This is a good place to start if you're "trying out" hentai.
There's a little bit of everything in here, which seems to be what Sample is referring to.
It feels like there's a lot of content as well, if you're concerned about value.
One thing to note is that (almost) everyone in this collection is in their teens or early twenties at most. If you prefer someone older, you'll have to look elsewhere.

Vanilla Awesomeness
Homunculus is a master at writing vanilla romances. I first came upon his work with Summer's Beast ad have been hooked ever since. Every story in this book is amazing and brought a smile to my face. I'm so glad I finally worked up the courage to buy it and am eager to read his other books.

sweet and satisfying
I thoroughly enjoyed the stories in this book, though there were two (Be Natural and Little Devil @Home) where the power dynamics were a biiiiit sketchy for my tastes. Those two stories were also extremely similar in a book where there's otherwise a lot of variety in the scenarios. My favorites were I Lock You!, Love Sample, and Younger Sister Warning. My least favorite were the full color chapters, Rule of Bikini and Contrary Teacher. Those two stories felt shallow compared to the rest of the book. The artwork was gorgeous all throughout, and the pin-up pages were especially nice. I'll check out more of Homunculus' work for sure.

Sweet Vanilla
Stories are nice and sweet, and the girls are cute. Homunculus is great at making girls' bodies look soft.
I got one from the initial print run. My copy has a bit of a defect where the binding glue is a little thick at the top, which caused about 1-2mm of the top right corner of most of the pages to get cut off. There were some text bubbles with letters close to the edge of the page that got partially cut off, but never the entire letter and still readable, so I didn't bother sending it back. Hopefully the quality has been better since then.

I got a first print copy of it, and I loved it my copy had some minor issues but I didn't feel a need to return it or have it replaced, it's overall still a good vanilla-ish ero-manga.

Top of the line vanilla, all where it began
Where it all started: the first book published by FAKKU. The currently available book is apparently pretty much a "second edition" that fixes a number of translation and learning pains issues, but I'll still stand by my original first edition print as being a top-quality book.
Homunculus is one of the more loved artists on FAKKU, and this book is a quality collection of their work. The stories are generally vanilla, focused on a mix of school-aged girls although there's a few young teachers in there too.
Works by Homunculus generally feature girls with a particular busty style, and these ones are no exception. There's nothing too exotic but it's high quality vanilla work.
The stories are all from Kairakuten, but predating anything FAKKU published; this shouldn't be all that surprising as this first book was released when FAKKU was just getting started in publishing material from the magazines. Several of the stories do include a few add-on bonus pages.
Note that this material is actually newer than what's in Bashful Break, since this is Homunculus' second book (in Japanese). But given that there aren't any recurring stories here, "first English book" versus "first Japanese book" isn't really an important point; it doesn't matter what order you read them in.

Vanilla Paradise
If you like the art style and you like Vanilla, you will love this book. I'm not really sure why 'Housewife' is one of the main genre tags as I don't think a single one of the characters in the main vignettes could be classified as a housewife, let alone is it a big presence in the book.
Spoiler? There are a couple of genre fake-outs in the book where you think you are reading one kind of story, but it turns into a different type. I found that pretty amusing.
Anyone looking for some kind of hardcore NTR, group, or whatever probably isn't going to like this book.

If memory serves, this is the first book done by fakku. What a great choice. Homunculus does great work. Those who like vanilla can't go wrong with this one.

My first physical copy doujin I bought.
I remember years ago when fakku was announcing physical books I was hyped as hell so of course I bought one. Let me tell you when it arrived I was impressed with the quality of the book and for this one especially the art is absolutely beautiful each story was well written and enjoyable to read! I would reccomend this to anyone its absolutely fantastic in every way.

Great book by a top tier artist
One of the all-time great releases from one of the all-time great artists. Most stories are confined to relatively vanilla scenarios, but if that's what you're after then look no further. My personal favorite chapters are 'Love Sample' and 'Little Devil', though it's tough to choose since all are enjoyable. The print edition looks and feels really good, with quality paper and clean printing.

The Book That Started It All
Here it is, the beginning of something truly special that introduced FAKKU's step into publication and brought us content of amazing quality. The translations are faithful and well-thought, the effects artistically crafted, and the art incredibly superb brought by Homunculus, a talented and skilled artist and author. The pages are beautiful, especially those in full color, and the stories are emotional and relatable. When it comes to slice-of-life, this title brings you to heaven and crafts stories and bodies both allurring and titilating. For the one that started it all, it truly was an excellent choice and one every fan of vanilla will appreciate. Highly recommended.

It took some time......
I don't know why it took me so long to get to this. The heartwarming stories draw you in & make you want to read them over & over. I picked up the digital version on a sale but I must get the physical version. This is one of the few books where every single story was my favorite, "instant classic." BUY IT.

I know I won't be completely disappointed after seeing other works from this artist on other sites(not including the works in this compilation because I do not want to spoil the book before it's shipped to me! lol)!!! I Just bought the Digital Version of Renai Sample, I have to say that the price is really fair, For both Digital and Physical version, and if you buy a Physical version you get the Digital version for free. Just Awesome.
Would Like to order the Physical Version but, I live outside the US and a lot of people handle the package before it gets to my country (They open it, several times, to check if there's nothing weird inside) So... it could be a little troublesome. A big shame :(
