Sensei's illusions (or perhaps they're better described as delusions) of "a lily-filled garden of pure maidens" got stomped, spindled and mutilated damn quickly. At least by the story's end, he realized that to stay there would likely lead to "Death by Snu-Snu" (to be more precise, HIS death).
Like the song lyrics say well:
"(You gotta) Know when to hold 'em,
Know when to fold 'em.
Know when to walk away.
Know when to run."
