I can't really say her reaction to what he did was undeserved...I think the proper thing for him to have done was to take responsibility and, well, at least read it, I guess? Read it, accept her feelings, then take responsibility either by making a harem(Though considering the tags, it's not that kind of release), or apologising and telling her that it's not possible.
Tossing it out like garbage without even glancing at the contents though...? I don't blame her for slapping him.
I do feel a bit bad for the girl that got rejected though. Well...Her time will come, when another nice guy who would be willing to answer her feelings in the most sweet, Vanilla filled way possible. A sequel showing that would be very much welcome, by the way?
