For bars, there's no chance that it's a common practice. I'm not going to say it's impossible, given the noise level, but as far as space is concerned, it's just not going to happen. Two people are given a space too small to be in the positions given.

On the other hand, I've seen Karaoke rooms and other rooms where this could very well happen, size and noise wise.
