Hmm, it's interesting how even at the end, it's kept ambiguous whether or not she actually did like Kouji or if it was just a conclusion he jumped to. When she pulled his cheek like that instead of replying, it felt like an almost playful way of dismissing the entire question...Though she just tells him in the end that she only saw him as a friend.
As for that ending...Well, at least he now has a chance to maybe push their relationship forward from now on, so best of luck, my friend.
