Well, this title fits the vanilla-cheating combo application more so than other stories that actually had that combo I've read read in the past. This title had a realistic feel, esp after seeing the viewpoint from the mistress. Seems she wanted a clean, pure relationship from him but realized that unattainable since he was married - with a kid no less - and she obviously didn't want to be the one that broke up the marriage. How they met isn't in the story but I'm thinking she didn't know he was married until sometime into the affair (a jk girl maybe). Anyways, I tend to have symphathy for her and shame for him.

I want some backstory. How did they meet? Why is money involved in the first place? Why is he not happy in his marriage? I feel like we are looking at merely a small part of what could be a much larger and more complex plot.

He's a weak wuzz who cheats on his wife. The girl makes a choice at the end. She was never in it for the money, but realizes it can't go on. I want to know more about her. Not about a weak willed geezer.

I think Kiriko knew that deep down, he'd eventually cheat on her too even after splitting with his wife and daughter.

IMO, many un-answered questions are left up in the air, unless perhaps Yamada-sensei drops a follow-up (sequel, prequel, etc.) to this:

* Was his offer of money meant to change his perception of why he was ultimately cheating on his wife?

* Did he really intend to separate from his wife, as he stated?

* Just what was his motive for getting into the relationship with the FMC (female main character)?

Won't say much more, except to sum up my thoughts towards this story in the shortest way I know:

Let's assume "Tale as old as Time" wife has child and isn't attractive as a spouse (she is a mother and you don't fuck mothers). Husband wants to get his rocks off so he trolls JK sites for some one offering. FMC is there for sex not money, as it is an easy way to sleep around "safely". Husband catches feelings for the JK because she is filling a physical need and he can't separate the sex and love feelings. She turns him down as he is leaving permanently. She throws the payments back at him as he leaves almost saying "You were nothing but a warm dildo. Your money can't buy me" That may be a bit far but I like it.
