Ok, I'm only just reading this, but I'm on page 9 or 10 so far and I must say: if the man has ulterior motives, can you really blame him? She's beautiful, has a playful personality, and she's crafty based on the way she's able to handle her job. Honestly, at this point in the story, her only flaw might be her drinking habit but otherwise I think she's a charming character that any reasonable man would feel attracted to.
