Oh man, she’s a real asshole (this was awesome!). This feels like a true female version of the classic ntr cuckold. (Like, if the asshole guy was an asshole girl rather than playful smug girl, does that make sense?) Her face when she said I’ll expose you was great 👠Loved how she rocked the short hair huge boobs combo with an amazing mature lady twist. Great art, awesome characters. feel SO bad for the wife lol

I doubt this gets a sequel(definitely wouldn't mind one if Syuuen could leave out some of his bad habits like what happened in his last series), but Shizue getting some form of revenge would be an interesting way to go about it.

WELP...this comment didn't age well. A sequel was indeed brought forth.

Yeah, I also said I wouldn’t mind a sequel but it’ll be something I won’t care for, like Kaori getting her male coworkers to NTR Shizue in the copier room, record the incident on her smartphone, and then send it to Takuruo. Not like he wouldn’t deserve it, however.

Kaori resents Takurou for dumping her in college
and marrying another woman. and she resents her
boss for being that other woman. Plus, she looks
down on Takurou, for living off a career woman.
Beyond that, this chapter provides plenty of fuel
for speculation.
Does Shizue have a drinking problem?
Does she look down on her househusband
(even though she clearly depends on him)?
Does Takurou resent his dependence on his
wife (even though he always planned to live
off a career woman)?
If their marriage is shaky, that makes Kaori's
spiteful presence extremely dangerous.
On the whole, this chapter is unusually tense,
with precious little affection on display.

Well, I'll just say my opinion and say once Shizue confirms what happened (if she doesn't know already), even if she has a drink a drinking problem, she's too good to associate with her spiteful bitch of a subordinate and her cheating leech of a husband - she should fire and divorce, respectively.

@MHM-Dono Yep, there are some places and industries that have moral clauses that involve adultery as conditions of employment but true, there's no way of ever knowing if that applies here. But in any case things would go south at the workplace once Shizue absorbed what happened, and she is the one driving the bus so to speak so she has the ability to do something of a legit sense out of spite/revenge. She can make life a living hell for Kaori and create a reason for termination for Kaori or make her quit.

Shizue use "Divorce" on Takurou - possible. Shizue use "Fire (i.e., Terminate Employment) on Kaori - not sure if there are sufficient grounds for it, but then who's to say whether there's something in the overall employment system for such a situation.

It’s funny how the title is classic light novel style…

This one I would like to see a sequel bc although there's stuff here that didn't make sense, there's also stuff that would explain everything, esp an explanation of the wife's worried look on the last page.

It's not altogether inconceivable that on this occassion, Shizue faked getting drunk, so that she was very much wide awake and aware when Kaori started (to put it bluntly) fucking Takurou, both at the dinner table, and on their bed.
IF that was indeed the case, then ..... "DAYUM!"

Definitely could be one of the more probable scenarios. Or at first, Shizue was dead drunk and thought it was a dream (or nightmare, actually) but had doubts it was actually a dream when she saw that Kaori was still there the morning after. Then she thought, "Was that a dream?!"

That's because she knows, but is in denial because she thinks it was a fever dream from being hungover.

This is as Short and Simple a response to this as I can think of:
"DAYUM, ... That's Some Deep Shit!" 😱😱😱😱😱
EDIT: Something on the last page seems (at least to me) to suggest that Syuuen-sensei wants the reader to think that perhaps Shizue-san suspects something might have happened during her drunken stupor ..... OR she KNOWS something happened.

Yeah...It seems like she was in denial to what she saw at first but that rationalization now is wearing off.
