here's my guess. He might not have realized it, but she's probably a kouhai all the way from High School. Considering the type of guy he is, he probably never realized it. Then there's the likely fact she probably had a huge image change once she entered college. And even then it took her 3 years of college to finally seal the deal. So this kouhai had been waiting for 6 years to get noticed. Damn...
