arnis sticks hurt like hell and you can gain the edge if the opponent delays for about 1-2 seconds and you can circlestrafe him with a rain of blows...

the dagger is part of the knife inclusion, but longer and slender. it was commonly used by units that didnt require close range fighting such as archers, siege machine operators and the spear wielders

hmm if you want to learn the katana, try finding a dojo that teaches kendo and any style of swordsmanship by the katana. im still learning how to fight with double blades like the twin kodachi because i was only taught how to use big blades like the nodachi which is quite heavy and hard at close quarters because you need room and a few milliseconds for a clean slash, be able to defend attacks up close and personal and to be cautious of the swords length, weight and feel

To be honest, I don't feel that kendo actually prepares one for actual sword-fighting... it's too straightforward, too direct. Then again, this is coming from a person who's done kendo.

Practically, a melee weapon would consist of knives, crowbars, metal pipes of any length, baseball bats, and any modern day object.

Personally, (going out on a limb here) I'd prefer the katana as well as the staff. Any other weapon is too clumsy to wield in modern times.

Sad really. I liked the original topic about what members seen in lolicon, but it just had to turn to Hell. I like having civil discussion about controversial and taboo matters.

Since when nosebleed became an urban legend?.. geez.. Scientifically, people got nosebleed because there's too much tension and heat.. but the fact is, those things didn't happens a lot, it's just a rare occasion.. and in anime, they're just exaggerating the nosebleed..
