[quote="DatAssfoLyfe"]So humor me on this.As a photographer the first one depends if it in a public place aka on the streets or in a con. If they're the only one in the photo yes you need their permission to shoot and a model release if you want to use that image in any ways that profits you or a company. If it a public event which you don't need an entry fee or permission then that a grey area so you still get the release anyways for liability reasons. Journalistic reason you don't because a public need and press.
As for copyrighted material like doujin i don't believe as long as you just don't steal that copyright like you own that character. You're cover by parody laws which is nearly the same as japan just more known. So if you want to shoot a porn with a cosplayer in character You need a model release and a contract since you have to pay them and keep records they're over 18. If you just want to do non porn you don't need the age records since they're no sex or nudity.Doujins and merch It all depends on the work and the money. Nintendo will sue you.
Im not planning to use photographs of these people. Its more about the "Character" they are using. Say if I made a figure, drawing and so on of the model IN cosplay. How can they use the character, but no one else can use their "persona" while they are in Persona anyways?
But mainly I was wanting to do Hentai character MERCH. No models or anything. But create little trinkets based off the Doujin.
I mean, people make merch of characters all the time. If you go to an artists' alley at a convention, it's pretty much all drawings and pins and keychains of characters from anime and video games. Hell, some people even make dakimakuras.
I think it comes down to each work individually. Like, people making that merch probably isn't fully legal, but Nintendo and Shonen Jump, etc. aren't going to bother going after them because they're small fries. However things like fan games that get popular might get shut down because they're on the internet and have a lot of reach. Similarly, if someone made some merch that got super popular of say, Persona 5, Sega/Atlus might jump on that, idk. Probably would have to get a lot of attention though.
However, if you made some merch of like, an indie web comic without their permission, the creator would probably get pretty pissed. Unless it was copyrighted, idk if they could do anything (I'm not sure how it would work), but it would still be kind of douchey.

Barely any.Just admit the obvious. Discord has killed the forums and forums in general aren't a thing anymore.
Also the subscription service made a lot of oldbies leave too/
Bruh, I'm not in denial about the forums being dead. But the discord has been around for years and so has the sub service. And as someone who has been in IB for a long time, I can tell you that thread creation definitely decreased recently.

Hmm...I'll have to take a look. Can't say I necessarily know the publisher affiliations of many artists, though.
What if we didn't have a particular title in mind, and we just wanted to see some of a particular artist's stuff on the site?
I mean you can still suggest an artist for a book if you want. If you mean you want to see random chapters by an artist, unfortunately it's not that simple since our chapters come from magazines that are published in Japan (like Shonen Jump but with porn) and we don't just pull random things an artist has done and put them on the site.

So, seeing you mention Fakku's agreements with the various magazines reminds me:
Would it be possible/productive for us to put in requests for particular artists whose work we'd like to see on Fakku? Perhaps specific titles, even? I ask because it's pretty rare for me to see any names or titles I recognize here (and even rarer for anything I do recognize to be included with my subscription).
There's actually a thread Book suggestions that we actually do look at. The first post has a list of the publishers Fakku works with.

Welcome to the site, always good to see new people. If you want some down-to-earth stories, I recommend the artist Ikuhana Niiro. Some of the couples they portray in their works are shockingly realistic and I personally think they have a great art style.

I can assure you that every person that works for FAKKU is anything but complacent and work very hard to meet deadlinesNot that i'd complain but the new book is not released and it's way past the deadline already.
Which book?
Fresh meat. That's the only one being released currently so asking "which" was a bit confusing...
Do you mean the download links? All the chapters are up on the site.

If I at least had the option to turn them off I could care less, but nope. Nothing. No option whatsoever to clear the horrendous clutter on Fakku's front page.Spoiler:

What freaky said. Using your logic, there should be no vanilla incest stories, but there are plenty of those.Yeah, I more or less get it now. Basically as long as the couple "love" each other then it's basically vanilla. It just seems kind of weird to see something like a loli/shota with an adult partner and then slapping a vanilla tag on it since I don't consider that "vanilla". I always thought Vanilla was literally bland or normal sex. Ain't nothing bland or normal about a teacher-student and loli/shota relationship lul
To be fair, vanilla normally does mean normal or standard but for some reason in the anime community, vanilla has grown to mean lovey-dovey stuff and Fakku has adopted that as a tag, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I too am rather frustrated. My big beef is with the lack of adequate tags, and adequate tagging. There aren't nearly enough different tags, and they aren't even gendered as in...certain other sites. Many of the tags we do have use Japanese terminology that not everyone is going to know, even when there's no reason to do so. Also none of them are defined. Why the powers that be would choose to use 'bakunyuu' instead of 'huge breasts', I've no idea. I'm also puzzled by our need to have futanari, newhalf, and trans as tags when, as far as I can tell, they are used more or less interchangeably here. Last I checked, futanari has, at least in the west, become pretty much the catchall term for dickgirls (in the context of hentai. Put your pitchforks away). There are other threads on this topic, so I'm not going to make this wall of text any bigger than it already is.
In short, yes, I am also frustrated with Fakku, but for different reasons
also they don't have any of my favorite artists
I've noticed that as well.
I think it is appropriate to use the Japanese terminology given the nature of this website, but it would be nice to have some clarity. It would be nice if once you click on a tag, the top of the page gave some, perhaps witty, description of what the content on this page is going to represent.
There used to be tag descriptions on the tag pages. Dunno why they're gone now. :/a Also the tag names are slowly shifting away from the Japanese hence why stuff like "oshiri", "ashikoki", and "irrumatio" were all changed to booty, footjob, and deepthroat, respectively. So I wouldn't be surprised if things like bakunyuu are changed at one point in the future.
Also I agree that more tags need to be implemented.

Unless fakku starts losing money the answer is no. Fakku doesn't have to do anything as long as what they have done keeps working.I think that's a real negative and pessimistic way to look at it. And you've been in these kinds of threads before, RozenLetter, so you should know that it isn't so simple.
OP, if you check out these threads and read YQII's responses, they'll give you some clarification.
Lolis
Other stuff
I didn't really get any clarification except conjecture and ideas on why its tougher to put out non-vanilla content.
Honestly it seems like a cop-out and makes you thank people for scanlating good content that is probably licensed but nothing is being done with it.
I don't see how any of it is conjecture. You can't just magically summon content, nor can you publish something that you can't get the license for or the West won't let you sell.
I don't know what you mean by content that is "probably licensed but nothing is being done with" but if you're implying that we're just sitting on a cache of bondage, loli, and tentacle chapters and holding out on everyone, you're mistaken.
