No, there usually isn't, you're right. Internet is amazingly useful when you're looking for informations of any kind, but when discussing it's all about circlejerking and cliques. Likeminded people eventually group together, get into their bouncy castle and anybody, no matter how right, tries to sneak inside to poke them with a stick, will eventually be forced out. Conservatives will be bigots, and in their own way so will the liberals. Whether it's politics, social issues or porn, once you've made it into that likeminded mold, you won't probably make your way out of it. If anything, you often just get worse as time goes on. Not many people want to be proven wrong, especially when they have believed something for so long.So not much different than in real life.

The fact areas with Gun laws and gun free zones see more crime than areas with more gun owning Americans should speak volumes in it self. Weapons are a product of mans intelligence to overcome his surroundings and adversities. Maybe that means being able to defend ones self from a totalitarian state (canon to current events) or to scare off the bear during your fishing trip.....
more serious note: If you ever see bear cubs RUN, mother bears are ferocious defenders, seriously if he was 5-10ft closer to the shore he may not have drawn in time

I wanted to contribute to this thread but it seems to be a bit of a shit storm sooooo Imma just dump this:
A large majority of modern movements are basically all plots to undermine free-will, science, religion and self-determination by controlling the population with bogus promises 'of a better future' or 'equality for all.' Do not be fooled, if you are religious then this is Devil's/Lucifer's gambit if not then it is simply evil with a smiling face and peace signs as a feint.

I use to think tolerance is necessary but now I wonder if it hinders us more than helps. We are a wondrous yet barbaric species, but considering where our world is going right now it almost does not matter. The sides of Liberty and Totality are beginning to gather and preparing for the next great war. And from my perspective it is because of tolerance or more accurately allowance of certain behaviors: entitlement, welfare, Islam(except the Kurds and some populations), poor leadership, poor self control and moral decadence world-wide that will make Liberty disappear.
