After complaining to Play-Asia, I got this message:Play-Asia wrote...
Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.We are sorry to hear about your problem. In your case, we can send you a
new copy of the game for replacement. However, if there is any problem with
the replacement again, we cannot provide further compensation or exchange.
Do you agree with the arrangement.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Should I go for it?
And yes I've tried running it in compatibility mode.
I wouldn't get Supreme Candy cause it's not in English.
Hum, do you have another computer to test the game? Also, try using the NoCD patch from here
About the arrangement, for now, I don't recommend going for it.
I have tried installing it onto another computer that is currently running Vista and it still encounters problems with the installation. I don't think the NoCD patch would help since installation is the problem and not the actually execution of the game.
Well, my last suggestion would be if you haven't yet, to run the installation as administrator, to check if your OS is completely updated and to check if another program isn't creating some kind of conflict. If that doesn't work I think that the installation in itself is not compatible with windows vista and seven. Then again, I don't own the game like you, so it's just a guess.
I wish you good luck.

I think that some of you might already know this but here goes:
EVER17 IS GETTING A REMAKE !! Check at http://5pb.jp/games/ever17/
Man, too bad that it's just for Xbox 360. I wish there was already planned a PC version.
Game info:
* The producer in charge of the remake is Ichikawa Kazuhiro, the producer of the original E17, as well of other Infinity Series works.
* They knew that changing the core of what made E17 would be a bad thing, so they kept the core the same.
* The scenario has been revised straight from the beginning
* Certain sections have been removed, and new sections have been added.
* Because of these changes, they were able to eliminate the dull/drawn out parts of the game.
* New routes and supplements.
* The background CGs and event CGs have all been redrawn. The scans show a picture comparing how a corridor looked in the original game, and how it looks in the remake... it now looks more modern and complex.
* Apparently all of the voice work has been redone/re-recorded as well
* The LE will cost a cool 9,240 yen (~$115 USD)
And apparently according to Tech Gian the game's release date is 6/30, though this has not yet been confirmed.
I'm curious to see the modifications that will be made. Let's just hope that they improve this masterpiece.
