I doubt that they would license this with the fakku logo. Looking at their broken ass site( I'm not kidding because half their catalog when you click the links to see the product pages is broken or goes to a totally different book) every single one of their books has the original English licensers logo so either they don't actually have the legal license to produce this book or a lot of their other books or they just use the English version specs and is translated the text into Castilian Spanish

A while ago and I mean like before the Great covid Jacob was talking about should we translate into different languages since he found the digital being translated on the high sea areas. That could be the reason why they printed it that way because they couldn't get the original license since our version isn't the original version our version was remastered by the original artist with new and better art. Now the art is all in side so I can't tell you if it's different but that cover that covers unique. Could it be a collaboration that could be a possibility but that doesn't explain the logo it would have a brand new logo OR somewhere in the credit saying that it's a collab.

but looking at the other books having the original logos of the English licensers leaves me to think this is book leg. I also thought of this being a spin-off publisher that we own like the other two but I would think the publisher name would be a little more unique than pop fiction so I'm 95% sure that this isn't a Jacob joint but a bootleg company because I heard of this company before doing something like this.

to tell you the truth fakku has been getting restocked quicker than a lot of other publishers including viz. I don't think people realize that it takes a while to print a lot of books then get it shipped from one side of Pacific Ocean to the other on a cargo ship then get it from a port to the Warehouse then ready for sending it off like at least half a year in this to get it shipped from Hong Kong so it not being in stock for a year isn't and an amazing thing and this is actually true of a lot of out of stock books on different websites and publishers because they all get them print from the same region no one prints in the US or Canada anymore because it causes a lot of in your buying it cheap. Let me tell you the story of project h and the eight years of waiting for kodomo no jikan print books.

As for the shipping quality and wrapping of a book I mean this is the first time anyone has complained about it so could it be a one-off sure I'm pretty sure someone forgot to wrap the books in the bubble wrap. But have you ever bought something from viz or Amazon Walmart online booksellers you'll be surprised having them they're not even wrapped either volume three and four of nana which I bought for Amazon because I had a shitload of money on my wallet and I don't care about digitals since I don't read them didn't even come with anything but the plastic bag that they shipped it in Walmart Barnes and Nobles nothing either I was actually surprised by Jacob and Ben when I got my first book from them wrapped in bubble wrap with cushion paper it's quite literally the first time ever bought a book that was taken care of outside of eBay sellers. To tell you the truth if Jacob and the team takes more care about their products then some of the bigger names then. Since op updated his original post with more details Maybe since it was damaged because it wasn't wrapped they could mail him a return label. That probably be a good thing thing.

Edit so you bought 10 plus books into one box? I mean at that point they're not going to Bubble Wrap all of them because at that point the bubble wrap would take up most of the room so like a lot of places they probably was stack them in and surround the size with Shipping paper or some form of cushion like popcorn or those those inflatable packing bubbles. So are you saying that the box came bear so are you saying that the box came bare all 10 books raw dogging the Box?

I mean occasionally happens but rarely I mean I bought a metric ton of stuff from the site and only had one slight blemish. Coated in bubble wrap and each book I have actually bought four at the same time. Tight clamshell boxes or stacked and space with bubble wrap in the bigger boxes.


Weird usually if you show them a photo of the damage they just send you another one free of charge they don't really ask for you to send back the books I mean every other person who posted this question got the same answer from support. Maybe this is a new thing which if it was they would put a return label inside the boxes

The problem with the zombie movies that there are factually incorrect. If the zombie apocalypse happen you just got to survive for 42 days then it will be over. That's the average time it takes a body above soil to decompose to the point that meat and muscle disintegrate to nothingness and your bones aren't going to keep moving without muscles.

I forget which zombie movies had a brain altering disease that basically rabies on crack but that one's more factually realistic because as long as you're still alive you're still moving past that month n half of George Romero Rampage.

I collect So Physical which I stopped buying physical books since I can't actually read it no more bad eyes but I still collect so still physical.

So because a copy of a book cost 789 yen you want it to cost the same as the Euro or the same as the dollar? that's like saying well my car was made in Slovakia so I want the same three bedroom two bathroom house that I have here to cost the same as in Germany or Canada or United States or whatever. While your house is made with plywood and the other ones are made with brick and mortar. it's a totally different cost. I own a lot of the Japanese equivalents to fakku manga, TSF Monogatari as for example the difference between the Japanese tankobon and fakkus is actually totally different because the paper the cover the color is more pops because it's not on news rag it's actually on glossy paper in the ink just is more Vivid that's what you're paying for more cuz it cost more because unlike a lot of Japanese publishers they can get that grade of a deal at The Print Shop because we don't print all that much of them. That's like complaining about the shipping costs of an Amazon package versus a package from your local bookstore. hell I own the complete Yamatogawa library from Project h and looking up both of them the ones we print and the ones they print is night and day and the project H printer better than the Japanese Prince.

But then again you're missing the point of your original argument it's cheap to you because you bought it in a Japanese store in bring it home. I advise you to go online to a Japanese Bookseller and see how much is going to import to you in Europe because even though I don't have a Customs tax it's a lot. To the point that it was a lot more cheaper to book by then ship then individually buy a book and get it shipped to me like my last shipment was just $400 in shipping not to include the 5% proxy service fee in the local shipping to their warehouse in Japan. But if you can't read Japanese is it really that much of a value because I can't read Arabic but I like looking at the artwork I can't understand Chinese but I like their traditional music you can appreciate it but can you really understand what they're saying isn't at this point you're just buying it does to have a collector's item versus something you're actually reading outside of the sex which is universal. You know Hobbies ain't cheap. Having a book that's only a collector's item for $4 versus actually being able to read it is a pretty to the consumer I only own the Japanese version because I like the artist and I love the work even though I can't read it I know what it says since I read it 400 times as a fan translation back in the day.
