... as pandering as it is, I'd be lying if I said I wouldn't be trying to get this.

So everyone's getting sick of bleach..... ;(
Put it this way: I still read the manga, I'm a fan of the universe and setting in general, and even I'M getting sick of the plot and new characters now. There is a very good reason Bleach is no longer near the top 10 manga in Shounen Jump even, let alone all of Japan.

I think NTR should only be available in the 4th round and the first week of the 5th round. This gives users their first three waifus and then after they have claimed those they can decide whether to opt out or not or if there is still I waifu they want to claim or steal. What would really suck is if in the final part of the 5th round where everything is petering out you got NTRd which is why I think only being able to NTR for two weeks makes more sense.Uhh... slight correction. Both rounds 4 and 5 last 2 weeks each, so you'd be NTRing for 3 weeks total. Second, letting people back off early seems too... safe. It would probably also discourage a lot users who plan on NTRing certain waifus if you can opt out right before round 4 starts.
3 weeks sounds like a decent amount of time. How about you have to declare your Opting out before the start of round 3 then. It gives the NTR players a week to strategize and decide and gives the people opting out 2/3 of their and have most of their line up to know who they're protecting are worth sacrificing the ability to NTR and another 2 claims.
I was actually thinking more like, decide to opt out BEFORE the game starts, but for the life of me, I can't think of what the consequences would be for that.
You make a whole other thread or people could pm you if they want to be part of the ntr or not. And that happens before the game starts as you mentioned. Those players should be displayed on a list so everyone knows that they are not part of the ntr. And wasn't the "consequences" going to be that you get 2 less waifus?
Pretty much entirely what you said, yes.

As for how often the game should be played I think too often isn't really good cuz then you don't have your waifus for very long. This could be remedied, as mentioned earlier, by having reclaims every alternating game.
This sounds like a good idea but only if the game is running an even amount of times each year, ideally 4. The game being played more often gives certain users another chance at getting Waifus they may not have got in the last game and reclaims mean you won't lose any Waifus you don't want to.
Given that three rounds last 3 weeks, and the last two last a total of 4 weeks, give us a 7 weeks for an entire waifu game. Given that a season is ideally 3 months, then it wouldn't be too far-fetched an idea to have a game every season. Any objections, people?
@Echo: You just brought up a valid point, thanks for that.
Anyone who wishes to NTR, must themselves be NTRable. Immunity from being NTRed means inablity to NTR.

Even with an NTR rule I wouldn't actually [feel NTR'd] because she's eternally mine.
people would still be like that. In addition, the nature of the game in being the first to claim person X means people get NTR'd anyways.
I'm kind of disappointed TMS isnt running the game but with art what could possibly go wrong?
Hey, like I said, I'm trying to make this fun for as many people as possible. Yes, TMS may have been a troll pick, but his NTR ideas are interesting when you realize that, yes as oneshott says, this IS a game. So now, I want to try my best to bring some more fun into this game.

So NTR is definitely happening? Also I think the post count requirement should remain the same, or if it has to increase then 100.
Will try to make it happen to add some new spice to the game, but only if I can refine the rules enough for it.
As for the post count... I think staying at 50 is fine as it is, so that it encourages people to be active enough in the forums.

Well shit.Look at the bright side: NTR isn't really anything new to the game. Wouldn't you have felt NTR'd if someone managed to get Kirino seconds before you in the first round?

OK, how about this: you can opt to get NTR immunity for a cost? Pay the price, and you won't have to worry about getting NTR'd.
Now what this price will be is yet to be decided. I was thinking something along the lines of waifu slots: do you take the risk of getting ALL the waifus you want with the chance of them getting NTR'd, or will you opt for, say, half the slots you'd normally be allotted (aka 2 or 3 for the entire game).
And on another topic, what do you guys think the post limit for this game should be, if at all?

You know, as well as having the ability of steal someone's waifu, there should also be an ability to protect waifus. But that's just me though.
Thing is, I can't really imagine a way to protect waifus that easily, other than not taking part or getting immunity by being loyal or new.

Putting aside the NTR concept for a little bit now, how would you guys feel about a full reset for this game?In what sense? As in all the Waifus you claimed are up for grabs or that we're going to act like this is a completely new game separate from Waar's?
The former: everyone loses the waifus claimed in the previous game, and start from scratch. This is usually what happens most of the time, but as stated before, reclaims have happened.

Hmmm, that might work.I still think we should have some form of loyalty reward that could play into this; for one it might encourage people to fight harder over picks (since the longer you have this or that girl, the more "benefits" you gain, so to speak), and on the other hand, it rewards the players who have been at this for a while, and stayed true to their preferences.
I'd be willing to work something like that in, actually. Trouble is, I feel like implementing both that, AND the "untouchable first pick" will make too many users OP.
Not an untouchable first pick, but maybe like a lottery to choose users who can't be NTR'd or something along those lines.
A random draw for NTR immunity? Hmm... will give it some thoughts. For now, I'm gonna go shower and have lunch. If you guys want to dish out suggestions, bold them up in your post so I can notice. Feel free to discuss amongst yourself for the time being.
Remember people: entertaining and approachable. This is the 10th game, and the first with a new host, so let's make it one to remember.

I'm down for that, but what if someone has all their slots full? Will they lose a slot AND a waifu then?Pretty much. They'd need to free the slot by divorcing first, obviously.
That's a little troublesome, because some idle time needs be had after a divorce, by both the waifu AND the user. This could be enough time for the target to divorce until one waifu, hence becoming untargetable.
I think losing a slot and a waifu when all slots are filled sounds costly enough. It'll make people think twice about filling their already full cup.

The cost of choosing a user and waifu to NTR is one of your own waifus, whether or not you succeed. The one attempting to NTR may not reclaim whoever was the cost. Given that this is somewhat similar to divorcing and getting a new waifu[...]Pretty similar to my idea above with the cost of a waifu slot instead of a waifu, but this brings up one question. Why should I need to claim someone to use as the NTR cost first?
To address this, maybe it should be changed to a waifu slot instead of a waifu like what you recommended before.

Also, what do you guys think of starting the NTR from Round 4, aka the longer Cold War rounds?
