Keep the ideas coming, people. I wanna see some real discussion on how to make this game entertaining and approachable.

Here's an idea I got for the NTR rule for now, lemme know what you guys think:

Anyone with more than 1 waifu is NTRable. The cost of choosing a user and waifu to NTR is one of your own waifus, whether or not you succeed. The one attempting to NTR may not reclaim whoever was the cost. Given that this is somewhat similar to divorcing and getting a new waifu, with the bonus of possibly ruining someone else's game, there will be a strict limit to NTRs: namely, each character can only be NTRed once in the entire game, and each user can only NTR once or twice in the game. Every number you see here is subject to change.

I do want the NTR bit to be optional and what not. If some people don't want to, or are unable to take part in it, they can be exempt. Not sure of a fair wait to make it, however.

I want to keep the NTR rule, trust me. It will get implemented, but it needs to be refined. To address what you said:

1. Yes, I did think of letting more experienced players able to NTR, but I want more people to play this game as well. Let it grow every time. So I want to refine that in a way that new people are still encouraged to try. I was thinking along the lines of, play more games, be able to NTR and what not, so that it works in the long run by letting new players keep playing future games.

2. That... not only sounds extreme, but also doesn't make too much sense. So if the NTR move is successful, you gain the target's waifu, but lose all your own?

New rules set in stone will be placed here.

Spoiler:
1. Full reset. No reclaims.

2. Post count requirement will now be 100 posts.

3. Regarding Nasu-verse Fate characters, I have decided to allow claiming all unique Servants. Meaning, yes, Red Saber and Blue Saber will be as claimable as Blue Lancer and Green Lancer provided you can show they are not the same person. This means putting their real full identity in a spoiler and giving some proof that said Servant is different from others of the same class.

4. A simplification of who can be claimed: if you can buy whatever she's in, she's claimable. So yes, this extends to hentai original characters, though full name and source will be required (doujinshi characters must be claimed as who they are in their original series).

5. The new exceptions to Rule 4 are webcomics: starting this game, users can now claim a character from a webcomic series. The only condition is that said character must have appeared several times, and the comic must be one consistent story. So, no, characters from Oglaf who reappear once or twice don't count. Again, full name and source rule still applies.

6. Vocaloids will be claimable, but I've made them limited to this list. Note that these are the software names, not necessarily for the characters themselves. So I will not accept "Megpoid"; you have to claim her as Gumi.

7. No special rules like the NTR or priority. We'll test those later, but for now, this will be a free for all, plain and simple.

8. Tentative game start date will be the night of the 10th of August 2013. First three rounds will be a week each, and the last two rounds will be 2 weeks each, after which, the game will be locked down and no more claims allowed.

9. (Optional) Each user can claim a mobile suit model (as in, from the Gundam franchise only), starting from the 2nd week of Round 5. You must clearly state the model number of the suit, full title, and media in which it makes its debut. Again, one mobile suit per user.

What's up, people? Artcellrox here as the new host of the Waifu Game. I've been entrusted by Waar, the previous host, with this great responsibility, and I intend to continue the greatness that is this game and uphold what this game always stands for: showing how dedicated you are to your waifu. Now, with that introductory bullshit out of the way, let's get down to the nitty gritty!

HOW TO PLAY:


First off, obviously you need 100 posts to play. Don't spam your way to 100, otherwise you're banned. Once you're eligible, you make a post in THIS thread, in a format like this:

I claim/marry/take/etc. X from Y. (pictures and reasons why preferred, but optional)


X = The full name and true identity (for you Fate/stay night fans there) of the character you wish to claim. Alter versions of the same character do not count, and you cannot claim an entire class/species/race. Real people do not count either.

Y = Series, video game, or other piece of media where the character is from. It must be in released/published material, so just because you saw a character in a trailer for something that isn't out does NOT mean you can claim her.

You can pick one character per round per post unless you missed a round or two, in which case you can, in one post, claim as many as it is the round number. You missed Round 1 and couldn't pick a character then? Just pick 2 at once in Round 2. Five rounds to every game (hence five slots), first three lasting a week each, last two lasting two weeks each.

OTHER RULES:


  • Hentai claims: If you're going to claim someone from an original hentai manga, please state the artist and the publication/magazine/tankoubon he or she appeared in as well, to show it is indeed published/released material.


  • Ninja editing: As stated before, you may not edit your claim post within 6 hours of the start of a round. Perpetrators will be caught, their claims nullified, and possibly be banned from playing.


  • Divorce rule: You may divorce a character you claimed, thus freeing up a slot. Once you divorce, though, you may not claim another until 4 days (96 hours) passes. Likewise, a divorced character can only be claimed by someone 2 days (48 hours) after his/her divorce, to allow fair play. Each user gets 3 divorces per game.


  • Mecha rule: New to this game will be the ability to claim a mecha from a fictitious universe. To claim one, you must wait until the second week of Round 5, and your post must contain the name (and model number if applies) of the suit, and the series/media it debuts in. This feature is completely optional, and the mobile suit slot is completely separate from your normal 5 slots.


  • No extra slots: Sorry to say, older players, I'm not bringing back extra slots for having played several games. 5 waifus/manfus and 1 mecha maximum for everyone. Maybe in the future.




One other thing: Hitagi Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari is banned from here on out. Thank you, and let's enjoy ourselves.

Just to be clear, i was half-joking when i said that. For whatever reason i can't find the post but i remembered Longevity called you one and you said "only 15% of the time" or something like that.

Right, that one. For the record, I am willing to switch around sexually, but I enjoy being dominant more. So it's a little disheartening that I give off a more submissive vibe. =/
