Kenichi? To a 10yo girl? Careful, bro, your sister might start to question you on the more perverse things that appear in the series, though I have no idea how much more they're toned down in the anime. Also, I understand your concern about not letting her watch Angel Beats so soon, but it's ultimately her choice. So I'm going to mirror Grock's response of:
The best you can do is be there for here when shit hits the fan (I mean, for the emotional parts).
Also, I'm going to put in my own edit of Koko's list as my suggestions:
Cowboy Bebop
Bleach (nothing after the Soul Society arc and no fillers)
Sailor Moon
Dragonball Z etc (I doubt many girls will go for this, but if she watches Kenichi, it might be worth a shot)
Mobile Suit Gundam (I'd start her off with the original and let her sow how the mecha phenomenon began)
It certainly is a classic, as long as you don't watch anything after the Soul Society arc. After that, it just gets unnecessary and convoluted (plus, she won't get any more hopes of seeing IchiRuki actually happen T^T).
