I had always though a Tyr rune would be a cool and simple tattoo, but then I discovered it's used as a neo-nazi symbol, and that just sucks.
But I've long thought my first tattoo would be the tattoo from the upper right arm of Spider Jerusalem, in the same place.

There is also the sun on the left arm that I was considering.
Transmetropolitan is one of my favorite graphic novels, and it's cool enough to me that I like it, but not so obvious a thing that it seems retarded to me.
I also like the BPRD logo:

I probably wouldn't get a tattoo below tshirt line until I was sure of what I was going to be doing for a living for the rest of my life, and whether or not it would be reasonable within that.

Eh, it's not really a copy... possibly influenced, I guess. But the differences are large enough that coincidence seems very likely.
Not brix-shating material.

WWII. it was one of the last major wars where you could clearly tell who the bad guys were. It's also the single deadliest conflict in human history.
I get along better with my family now that I don't live with them.
It's really a long story, but basically, now that I'm an adult and I rarely see my family, when I do see them, I don't bother getting upset with them most of the time.

Being far after reading all the responses, I asked my wife about why she hates me watching porn and she said it was okay to put some of what she said here. So here we go..... She told me that she hates it b/c it lowers general cultural standards. She said that the magazines at the grocery stand catered to women are borderline pornographic in the stuff they write about, and she blamed it on the normalization of porn.
She told me that she has trouble unconsciously and consciously of accepting her sexual flaws in world where standards of women are increasingly being determined by the unrealistic and flawed depiction of women in porn.
She told me she is insecure that the stuff we are doing isn't really private, that "lovemaking" is just turning into sex. That the characteristics of our moments together, is degraded or cheapened due to me watching porn.
I see what she is talking about. I mean when her friends come over, I am really afraid of what they are going to talk about. I know that her friends and her are pretty explicit, and even "pornographic" describing their love life. I don't personally don't want my wife comparing...just like how she is "displeased" when she catches me with porn
For the sake of not getting into fights and giving her space, I never pry into conversions. But So yeah, I don't think porn as significant problem on the individual level, but i do see how internet revolution driven by porn is profoundly changing sexual and cultural standards. Whether that change is a negative, positive or little bit of both is why we have debate and must keep open minds.
I can understand your wife's concerns, and they are probably valid in a lot of cases, I just don't think that they work as generalizations. Personally, I realize porn is in the realm of fantasy and fiction, and that even in real porn, the people are not real. I don't expect real women to be like pornstars, and I don't expect real sex to be like in porn. It's like watching a violent action film. They aren't real people, and the situations in the film are not my life.
I fear, though, that maybe most people don't make such clear distinctions. For personal reasons, I separate all fact and fiction very clearly in my own mind, and I don't expect everyone to do so as deliberately as I do, but I like to hope that most people can at least tell the difference.
I like to hope...

Though I don't agree with it, it is true. This will be the first generation raised seeing pornography and graphic images regularly and not being affected by them. It will be interesting to see what we do when we are the ones in power.Rape will be rampant, and no longer a crime.
Actually, I don't think it will have a huge negative impact on the people who will actually be in control of important things. If you are smart enough to gain a position of power, you are probably smart enough to think for yourself.
The biggest influence I can see it reasonably having is sortof... desensitizing people to things like nudity and sex; but I think people with reason and common sense will not look at violence and shit more casually.

I don't know if the Mayans were right or wrong, But if a big ass planet comes crashing down on earth thats another thing.. It could happen or not , but the whole planet X thing seems plausible. Apparently its on an elliptical orbit thats really wide and doesn't exactly go round the sun, but supposedly it will pass right beside earth. When that happens all hell is suppose to break loose because of the gravitational force that it will be emitting on earth. Dooms day stuff like shifting of plate, drastic climate change , the rising of the ocean, blah blah blah...Think of it this way , if it happens, when you die and go to heaven and are asked how you died , you can proudly proclaim "I WAS THERE FOR THE APOCALYPSE"..... or else if nothing happens we can all go back to doing whatever we were doing in the first place...Mayans didn't say shit.
Planet X scenario seems plausible...if you smoke so much weed every day you end up comatose by dinner.
If such an object was headed towards the Earth on such a dangerous path, it's likely that the majority of the scientific community would be telling us it's a problem, and we would know about such a thing many many many many many years in advance.

great, one more reason to loathe andrew w.k.You just live a sad life, don't you?
quite happy, sorry to dissapoint.
I'm not disappointed, just concerned.
If I went to college, I'd probably like it, just because it would be towards some end for me, by my choice.
I didn't like high school because I didn't see a reason in it. I didn't plan on going to college, I wasn't learning anything useful to everyday life, and I was wasting time I could have been using getting job experience, which, without college, is much more useful than high school.

No. No one has ever been able to prove the existence of ghosts. So they don't exists.
If you were to state a theory like that. I could easily say:
No one has ever been able to disprove the existence of ghosts. So, they exist.
Your statement is flawed. Because ghosts cannot be proven means they do not exist. Because ghosts cannot be disproved mean they exist.
In other words, your statement isn't even a valid.
Not at all. What I've said is entirely logical. The burden of proof falls upon you to prove that ghosts DO exist, not to me to prove that they don't. Admittedly, my statement could have been more true, if I had said, "No one has ever proven the existence of ghosts, therefor they PROBABLY don't exist." But only because nothing is honestly absolute.
This has been addressed somewhere else on the forums about the existence of God, I believe.
If I were to say, "No one has ever proven that pixie faeries come to us in the night and drop our dreams in our heads, therefor, they do not," it would be completely valid. If something can't be proven to exist, we must logically assume it doesn't, even if it hasn't be specifically disproved.
Plus, believers will always contend any proof against what they believe in. You can't argue faith with science or logic, and you can't offer proof that something doesn't exist when people regularly claim that only certain people can experience that something.
My personal favorite is people who say only people who believe in ghosts can experience them. Right bloody convenient.
Andrew W.K. made an album called Gundam Rock, containing English versions of the music in Mobile Suit Gundam.
Here's a video about it.

I don't really care...but either way, it's not surprising. He had pancreatic cancer and it was in all the tabloids like... a year ago.
