(This post stars: Haramu Christina, and Kujikawa Rise.)
[size=13]A Special Meeting in the Park: [/h]
May 4th, Christina sat over a bench in the park. She viewed the vivid greenery with a listless look on her face; as if in a trance. The performance she displayed in the audition loomed over her head. Her flawful walk always came to mind. Would it have been any different if she had practiced much more intensively, or would the results be the same just because she wasn’t a prodigy-tier rookie idol? The reaction from the masses were below lackluster. There was a weak level of cheering from the crowd, as if responding only out of courtesy and pity. Some may had even stopped looking at the performance full of missteps. The fear of such possibilities haunted her, and she feel the exit to the idol world nearing with every moment. She couldn’t find the motivation to pull herself together; what could possibly solve this predicament?
At such a moment, she found an ice cream before her. A nice-looking creamy substance; it’s mango-flavored scent wafted to her nose. She looked up to find a familiar face she had recently gotten acquainted with. “Hello there, Haramu-san,” a voice said. She knew this person. Not so much, but enough to remember. She is assigned as her upperclassman, after all – it was Kujikawa Rise. Just like Chris; Rise too, wore the uniform of the academy, as well as a gentle and serene smile. “I had been calling out to you, but you were spacing out; so I thought that an offering to my young kouhai would do the trick,” she added, her lips stretching wider with glee. “Oh. I apologize if mango isn’t a flavor you like.”
“Kujikawa-san... sorry about that…” Chris responded, eyes full of wonder at the sight of her upperclassman, and the ice cream. She slowly took the orange colored item and began to lick at it. Only to sigh afterwards as she lowered it onto her lap, using both hands to keep it from spilling. “Have you seen any of my performances yet? I was hoping maybe you could tell me what you thought..."
“Mnm, your performance, mn?” Rise said. Unfortunately, she hadn’t the time due to her busy schedule. When she was finally free, it escaped her mind that she was supposed to check for the recording posted on Starlight Academy’s main webpage. “I’m sorry, it somewhat escaped my mind. When I got the time; I ended up coming here to relax,” she continued, taking a seat beside Chris. Rise then flipped out her AiSuma, and pressed on a few buttons before the holographic displayed flew out from the device on her palms; it showed the performance Chris gave in the fashion show audition.
The performance played out. As the streaming of the footage progressed, there was a stern and concerned expression plastered over Rise’s face. After about a minute; the video ended. Rise then smiled towards Chris, and simply patted her. “Cheer up, you did what you could out there,” she started with providing a consolation to the poor girl, then continued. “I feel like you need to do quite a lot of walking practice first. Followed by an immense amount of stretching – before you do dance practices too,” she advised calmly. “What your body needs first and foremost are not skills; but stamina and grace. This is most likely why you were struggling with your steps. However, to answer; I really thought you were giving it your all – that is my honest opinion.”
It wasn't as though Chris was expecting that Rise cared enough to see it, but she just thought she may have happened to give it a passing glance at best. “Got the time.... it must be nice to be so busy like that…” Since coming, Chris hadn't done anything worthwhile. She's failed her auditions, and she just happened to get a few good grades now and then. But no offers, no jobs, no nothing...
Watching Rise, Chris observed her as she took out her AiSuma and began to check out the performance now. It seemed to humiliate Chris enough to use her legs to hold the ice cream cone, just to put her hands over her eyes, just glad that nobody was watching it with them.
“I know I did... I've been training a lot since being here and it feels like it hasn't even helped. I wasn't expecting to win... but knowing that my performances can't even reach at least one person is what makes me feel like I failed. I think I’m the only new entrant without any fans at all.”
“I think that’s a little too early to say that,” Rise said, with a weakened smile, replying to her statement regarding fans. It was hardly possible to know just who admired a performance, while the opposite would usually be as plain as day from viewing the sea of eyes of disappoint. Her negativity was hard to break – Rise felt. “Well, if that amount of training wasn’t enough; it means that it simply wasn’t enough,” Rise stated in a matter of factly manner. “Did you happen to be born with the disposition of a weak body, perchance?” Rise asked as she placed her hand under her chin; looking at Chris’ figure analytically.
“I know... I guess I should have said any positive fan reception instead.” At this point Chris' tone had been rather bitter. It wasn't like she hadn't been trying to improve, and she knew being like this wasn't helping at all but she just couldn't help it for the time being. If she needed to be sad then she had to be sad for a while. “I've spent all of my free time training just about. I also took on extra training... how isn't it enough when that's already too much for my body to handle...?” By now she was getting frustrated with Rise. After all, how was she to know what it was like to be rejected by practically everyone?
It was then her expression became blank. “Er.... yeah, I was. What does that have to do with anything though? I've been trying to fix it.”
“It may just be the case that you need to double the hard work. Yet the toll may overwhelm you. Hmm,” Rise pondered intently before speaking again; taking the liberty to think for a few moments. “I suppose you should simply take your time working the issue of your body,” she stated. Unfortunately, or rather, fortunately – Rise wasn’t born with a weak body, so she wasn’t so experienced in that subject. She, however, did know quite a lot of… trivias? Of course she would. But that wasn’t going to help Chris so easily in this case. “Anyway, can you show me your walking here and now?”
Chris remained quiet for a while again and used this time to finish her melting ice cream. Due to the warm weather, ice creams never lasted too long in direct heat, or outside, like they would normally. “My walk?” It was a strange request but since Rise told her that she needed to work on it, it made some sense.
Chris sighed and got up, walking some feet from Rise and the bench so that she could observe her. She rubbed her arm with one of her hands while glancing to the ground for a moment, then when she had an idea she slowly lowered both hands, letting them perk on the ends just slightly and began to walk. It held a sign of shyness and meekness. As if devoid of confidence. Slow but at least reserved.
“I see. Stop for a bit there,” Rise said after taking a look. Then took out a book from the bag that she placed to her side – from when she sat on the bench initially – before walking up to Chris, and placing it atop her head. “Alright. Now, try to walk again,” she said as she folded her arms over her chest with an intent look on her face.
Chris tried walking again. It was already tough having to pull off a work like this in the public before Rise, but now she topped the issue over with a book resting above her head. The task of balancing was one she executed in a horrid manner – before it outright fell off her head after a slight walk.
“Your sense of balance is off, as I thought,” Rise said, apparently her observation was done. “You need a lot of walking practice, it seems.”
Chris winced as the book landed on the stone ground with a thud. It's pages bent, the spine facing them. “Walking practice?”, she asked while gently bending over to pick it up. "But I don't really know how to practice that... other then maybe walking those balance beams... but what is the chance of the Academy having those? Maybe what I need is a drawn line or something..."
“Balance beams… if I remember correctly; we have a few somewhere in the gym,” Rise said, apparently unsure herself as she placed a finger under her lips as she faced the trees. “But for starters; I think you should simply practice walking in any straight-line paths you find,” she said. After all, a beginner would surely fall and only injure themselves if they tried the balance beams early on. “Try out the postures that the models would usually try for whenever you’re walking… albeit that may be a little too much. It really depends on you, I suppose. Your physical constitution may need some work, too,” she spoke further, still uncertain. “I’d recommend doing some jogging first before anything, then practicing the model walking. It’s best to have a solid foundation, yes?” Rise advised with a sheepish smile. “Oh, right, and watch Shibuki Ran closely, if you ever see her. She is a model in every breath of her life.”
“Okay, so... my walking, my steps... grace... none of it is any good.” Chris muttered while glancing to the ground. She seemed to be studying for any lines in the ground, or any little thing that would be considered worthy of practice. Most of it was a bit too confusing though, considering most of it was composed of brick and grass.
“Um... alright! I know, I'll head back to the Academy and change. I'll do some stretches and go for a jog before it gets too late. Then maybe I can um... draw a line or something to practice on. When I have a chance, maybe I can watch Shibuki-san perform or something.”
“I’m sorry if I sound a little too random,” Rise said, rubbing the back of her head with a defeated smile. “It’s just that I know too little about you, so I’m telling you everything that could possibly help.”
“It's fine, I know you're just trying to help me.” Chris stated with a hand wave. “Someone pathetic like me needs all the help I can get for now. But one day I'll make everyone realize even the most pathetic can become a lovely idol too!” With that Chris bowed and thanked Rise, telling her "maybe one day you'll even come to see me really perform. Anyway, I'm off! Bye bye!"
“Um… okay, bye… !?” By the time Rise finished, Christina was long ago, as she looked with a hint of sadness at the sight of her back. †˜Someone pathetic’ she claimed… such deprecating words would only push down an idol. She needed to think of a way to truly cheer up the girl. Unfortunately, she didn’t know how, as it was the first time she faced such a depressed person.

I heard nursing is fun thought. So good luck. Like, fun in the sense that you can scare people with syringes, you know... hehe.
I want to major in English, but it seems like I'll be forced into some business-related crap with dirt-tier arguments.
Lol you've seen a bit of my yandere side already so yeah, I've had fun with the syringe threats jokes fuefuefue (*w*)
I think the best thing I ever said in relation to nursing was my boyfriend was getting on my nerves one night and I got pissed off enough I shouted, "don't make me catheterize your dick!" Poor guy became quiet for the rest of the night lol.
English would have been my alternative major if I didn't get into nursing school, but hopefully whatever degree you end up with you enjoy. The only thing I never want to do is work with children.... sure I want some of my own eventually, but trying to care for them as a nurse or teach them.... I don't think I could be paid enough. Kid peed on me during a clinical and I wanted to turn into a demon -w-
Need to go and study some so talk with you later Cinia, best of luck with the math.
I just see that as a facade though.
I don't think I'd hate teaching kids... but sometimes they do tend to get on my nerves so I know that feel. I'm probably unsuited for stuff like that, too. I really wish I can enjoy business-related major though... except that I won't. Anything forced can't really be enjoyed, after all.

Exams huh... ugh.Just one last big one really, once I get my license then no more tests like this. Can also start finding work since no one's really hiring without a license anymore (I never trusted nursing on the whole "oh you don't need a license to work" thing).
It's strangely similar in my case.
One last round of 'A' levels of GODDAMNED MATHEMATICS.
And I suck at math.
Well at least there's a last round attached to it. Nursing math is luckily not too difficult, but I get pissed that most of the questions have all correct answers technically, but one is the "most correct". Some of the questions are jack shit too, because perfect world nursing questions doesn't equate to what's actually done in the hospital.... seriously every doctor is nice, everyone who works around you knows their shit and you can catch any mistake because they think you know it all. What your major?
