Character profile - fill out the necessary details of your character and write up the profile, then post it in the thread when completed. Basic information:


Name: The PC's name, write down the full name. Since the RP takes place in Japan, you'd have to come up with a Japanese name, unless it's a foreign student transferring into Alice Academy. Speaking of Japanese names, Surnames comes first, then comes the Other names.

Alias(es): The PC's nickname, or aliases, if any.

Gender: State whether the PC's sex is male or female.

Age: How many years old your PC is. Note that the age limit is strictly 13-15 on this RP, because some of the important NPCs, and the PCs would be students of the Middle School Division of Alice Academy.

Appearance: How your PC appears to look; whether attractive, ugly, or passable... well, whatever you decide to cook up for your PC. Please provide a picture, you may opt to describe via words alone, but I'd prefer an image regardless.

Personality: How your PC acts in general. Please do write about how your PC's mind works, and what type of a demeanor the PC shows in front of others, as well as the usual inner workings of the mind. Think carefully before you fill out this part, there were RP'ers who sometimes found it hard to play out the very personality of the PC they made.

Background: Your PC's past; a summary of how he or she got by life before transferring into Alice Academy. It can be short or long, write it however you like, but don't make too much unnecessary story up about the PC's life after enrolling into the academy. If the PC has been on Alice Academy from when he or she was very young, then you may write about their past life in the academy's grounds, if such is the case, do include how said student is treated by the classmates, though. This goes without saying that you should try to be as creative with your PC as possible, I don't mind a normal-ish 'just another guy' type of character too, though. Make sure the background of your PC justifies the amount of points you put in the statistics' attributes.

Affiliation: Any group or particular influential figure your character is affiliated with. Note that most NPCs would be affiliated to one group or the other, but most of the PCs will not be.

Statistics:


Much like some of my previous RPs, we're following a game mechanic that defines a PC's talents and abilities via statistics (just like Toaru Kagaku no Railgun RP's mechanics). The statistics in this RP consists of a set of attributes which the PCs would have - most of the important NPCs (profiles on the post below) has such attributes as well. Speaking of attributes, there are five (6) attributes. When creating a PC, you'll have fifteen (15) points to spare for distributing to each of the base attributes. Assuming you wish to make sure your character is mostly decently balanced (well, I sure as hell do), you may evenly spread out two (2) points each to every attributes, and still have three (3) extra points to have an actual field of expertise, and thus finalize the PC's statistics.

Note that you cannot have more than 5 points in any of the attributes.


The attributes are as follows:


Strength: Combat and physical capabilities. It may also pertain to how trained the PC's body is for fighting.

Dexterity: This includes speed, finesse, etc. It also includes the PC's stamina.

Perception: This regards the PC's sharp senses. Natural intuition that allows them to pick valuable hints, that points towards danger that is sometimes unnoticed till it actually occurs. It also regards how good the PC is at noticing coming attacks, especially in dire situations.

Alice: How strong or useful the PC's Alice is. It may be to use the Alice to add additional statistical points (either permanent or temporary) to the other attributes.

Intelligence: How smart your PC is, and how fast the PC's brain works.

Charisma: From Socializing, persuasion, to having a talkative nature, to even having actual leadership skills - is what this attribute is all about.


(Note: Alices can be used to forcibly increase points in certain attribute(s) up to an extent temporarily, depending on the effects of the Alice. There are some Alices that can passively increase attributes permanently, as long as the PC or NPC of the Alice is alive.)

Alice:

Alice is an innate supernatural ability that one can be born with. Once discovered by the government, they'd be forced - via one way or the other to transfer into the Academy. Depending on the Alice's effects, it is possible to determine a student's position in the Academy as well. Albeit extremely rare, there are few who are known to possess up to three Alices, you'd need special permission if you wish your PC to have more than one Alice. Of course, when an Alice's second or third Alice usually stays dormant until an event occurs and the second or third gets forcibly awakened unintentionally due to the pressure from the situation... or something like that. Most Alices born with two or three Alices had their second or third Alices awakened as they got older; they're mostly High school students, moreover, with Special Star ranking. Anyway, in this section of the profile, you're to add every bit of details regarding the Alice you come up with, or take from the wikia (you can use that page if you're really uncreative). Regardless of the Alice you make or pick, I'd have to speculate and judge if that's something your PC should be allowed to have. Basically, getting something over-powered won't be so easy for the PCs of this RP, they'll likely come with disadvantages even if it does happen.

Name of the Alice: Write the name of the ability.

Type of ability: There are five types of Alices: Latent type, Technical type, Somatic type, Special type, and Dangerous type (alternatively, you can find explanations regarding the types in the Terminology section below).

Alice's Effect: This part should explain how the Alice itself works. I.E: How it works, how much and how often it can be used (this must be adjusted to the Alice Form that I assign to your PC), whether it has any conditions before it can be used properly (if any... an Alice usually doesn't have conditions though), in what manner it works, range or limits (if any), in what ways the ability can generally for used for, and lastly, it's very effect, and side-effects (if any). Also try to include: up to what extent the Alice is controlled by the owner should also be mentioned, as not all Alices can be fully controlled, especially when they're particularly powerful, if not properly controlled, there may be passive effects from the Alice (this includes passively additional points added to the statistics). There is no actual need to point out the pros and cons of said Alice.

Star Ranking: One of the ways in which the power level of an Alice gets categorized is through the Star Ranking system of Alice Academy. It is determined not solely by the owner's Alice itself, but also involves the student's grades and good behavior. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Star Ranking to your PC, because I suspect most prospective players may choose Triple Star without any prior thinking.)

Alice Class: Classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories: Latent, Technology, Somatic, Special, and Dangerous.

Form of the Alice: All Alices have a form or shape, which dictates how often, and how much the Alice can be used at a time. An individual is born with one of the four following form, so it can't be controlled or changed: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent, and Limited. (Note: This is something I'm going to be deciding for you guys via using a dice that will randomly assign the Form to your PC.)

Alice Restraint(s): Commonly seen in the form of accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. If the Alice is currently uncontrollable for the owner and has unavoidable passive effects, these are used to make them non-passive, and thus controllable. This is done to reduce harm done by the out-of-control Alice, or so the Alice doesn't run out (especially in the case of Alices with Childhood Form).


(Note: If your PC's Alice has a passive effect, it may passively give additional statistical points to the attributes at all times. Put the additional points in a bracket beside the actual number of points you put in the attribute [I.E: 2(+3)]. I'll specify how much additional points the passive effects with provide via PM or Skype. Do note that if the extra points from the Alice's passive effect goes beyond five, it'll not count. Any higher extra is simply a waste. This applies only towards passive effects working without Alice restraints.)

This section is dedicated to explaining how the RP works in the background with the mechanics that I've set (which is similar to the few past RPs I've hosted, derp). The gist of the whole deal is that in order to find out the result of an action that a PC performs, or attempts - attributes from the statistics of said PC (this applies for an NPC with a proper posted profile) will be used to determine whether it succeeds or fails - in the case that it does succeed, the exact number of the result is also used to figure out the particular result. This is done by me, the GM. I throw a dice (the dice from random.org) whenever I feel the need to, in order to confirm whether an action or attempt initiated by a PC is successful or not. The result of the dice plus the number taken from the certain attribute (attribute which relates to the attempt or action best) are added, and if it exceeds the requirement for success; it succeeds. If it over-exceeds the requirement, a beneficial occurrence may happen as a bonus.

Of course, the requirement number is picked based on the situation, depending on how hard the certain attempt is to accomplish. Example: when a PC attempts to do something as simple as punching another PC (or NPC), a dice may be rolled by me to determine whether the PC manages to actually hit the other PC. The dice is rolled due to the possibility that the other PC may be able to respond in time to evade, or even counter; totally dependent on that PC's statistics.

To further elaborate with the attributes themselves, here is a more proper explanation (with included examples) regarding how each points on an attribute may effect the PC:


Zero (0) - The PC can't do anything in this area. For example: if a PC's Strength is 0, this must mean that the PC has a very weak and slim body, who can't fight, and is unable to carry or handle pressure from heavier objects. This would apply to someone sick with an illness. It could also mean that the PC simply lost their means of fighting, in other words, losing arms or legs in an accident, or a fight. In a case that a PC has zero Dexterity, it could that the PC is complete immobilized and hence may be due to being hospitalized, or can't walk due to permanent injuries. One with zero Alice attribute is most likely someone who lost his or her Alice from heavy usage.

One (1) - This means that the PC is really bad for whatever the attribute stands for. A single point in Charisma may mean that the PC is very shy or rarely speaks to anyone, and is terrible at communicating with others, there could be other reasons for it, such as being a mute. A single point in Perception may mean that the PC has terrible senses, it could even mean that the PC is somewhat deaf, or can't see too well. A single point in the Alice attribute may be due to it having the Diffuse form, or it being simply very weak or borderline useless.

Two (2) - This is the average level of capability. If you want to make a PC who manages to have an average life, you'd be putting at least 2 on every attributes of your PC. This is the gray spot where a PC is nothing special, yet he or she is not noticeably bad at doing something, whether it is communicating with others, or running, or getting average grades at school. However, this also means that the PC makes no effort to improve him/herself in the attribute in which he or she has 2.

Three (3) - This implies that the PC's capabilities are above average. This could perhaps imply that a PC is slightly good at pulling clever tricks or can hack programs or a software or websites via the use of a computer; due to having 3 points on Intelligence.

Four (4) - The character is exceptionally good at the activities that involves the use of the attribute. For example, with 4 points of Perception, a PC will have a good chance of dodging an attack at the right timing, or have premonitions of danger from hints alone.

Five (5) - The character is a true expert, a genius, or perhaps even famous for how unbelievably good he or she is, at performing something, which is related to the attribute; the character is at the pinnacle at his or her expertise, and has almost no more rooms for improvement (well, at his or her current age, anyway). Alice attribute with five points may imply that the Alice is very powerful, yet hard to control. Some of the graduates of Alice Academy, combined with their Alices, are apparently at said pinnacle of greatness due to how needed and demanded their Alices are, this is one of the reasons why the students are protected as national treasures; which is done by forcibly making them transfer into the Academy when an Alice is discovered.


Next, we'll have an in-depth look into the attributes themselves;

Strength: Other than physical capabilities and combat abilities, it also determines your PC's current physical state. If you put one point on your PC's Strength attribute; you're implying (as supported by your character's background or personality), that your PC is crippled, or have even lost an arm, or has some kind of a disease that makes his or her body extremely weak, as one point specifically means that a PC has below average Strength. However, this can also imply that the PC's body hasn't developed properly so far, due to being very young. Four points may mean that your character is either very skilled, have learned something such as martial arts - or any other school of fighting techniques - or he or she has developed lots of muscles in the body through harsh amounts of exercises. Strength attribute can be increased regardless, via the use of Alices, or through specially made food imbued with powers of Alice from the Central Town, the amount of additional points that gets added varies.

Dexterity: This shows how fast a PC is. From how much or how far the PC can run, or how fast, to having more stamina through each points of Dexterity, it can also be used to allow a PC's mind to concentrate faster to use his or her Alice faster, and speaking of that, this also implies that the PC may have fast-thinking as well. Alices such as Flying Alice can help to temporarily increase Dexterity as well.

Perception: Particularly the attribute that helps to have strong senses, keen ones that gains premonition of danger, either via hints or the PC's eyes and ears. The use of Perception varies. Taking proper guesses through hints from words or certain happenings alone, or strong instincts that allows the PC to feel blood-lust, killer intent, violent aura, evil vibes, etc. or simple feeling of a coming attack, or someone about to make a move. It is necessary for either figuring things out, or taking action at the correct timing. Alices such as Cat-Dog Alice can be used to help temporarily increase Perception as well.

Alice: An attribute that clearly shows how strong or useful the Alice is. The higher the points added into this attribute, the stronger it is. However, this may also make it harder for the owner of the Alice to control it. If the user is unable to control it properly, the Alice may: go out of control at random times, may give passive statistical effects at all times, may cause health of the user to deteriorate if the user's Alice form is Limited.

Intelligence: This attribute determines whether your PC is illiterate, sane, a genius... or one of whom who is known to be insanely intelligent. Above three is required to have the career of a Teacher, and also to be a Scientist, Doctor, and the many fields of expertise that requires knowledge of any type of science. This includes even the skills and fast-paced mind required for being a software developer, to being a cunning hacker. In this RP, due to the age restrictions, PCs may not have more than two points on this attribute unless they're skilled at fields such as software development, hacking, historian, or just being a clever tactician as a middle school student. Additionally, one with higher Intelligence can use their Alices more faster and efficiently, this also means better control over their Alice. This of course doesn't include some of the members of the Technical Alice type, as they have passive intelligence supplied by Alices such as Invention Alice.

Charisma: An important trait your PC would require to delve into the society. Points in this particular attribute may be used to get acquainted with others, making friends, showing leadership skills, impressing, deceiving, or even scooping information out of people via thorough persuasion. These can all be achieved through careful use of Charisma; depending on the PC's personality and the base value of the Charisma. Three or above will be required to make speeches that appropriately catches others' attention in several situations, the purpose may even be to move a person's heart, or for even acting - the motive may vary - it all ultimately leads to manipulating people with proper ways of dealing with them, and the effects can be magnified through the use of Alice; such as Sound Alice, or Pheromone Alices for example.


Note: Do note that you shouldn't put points on attributes carelessly. You have to carefully explain why your PC's statistics is the way it is through the background or personality (loose implication is okay). Putting three points on Intelligence doesn't mean the PC is above average in terms of being smart, good with grades, with computer, planning, and anything. Each extra points (above 2) are meaning that your character is particularly good with something related to the attribute (I.E: three points on intelligence to mean that the student is very good at memorizing, or a good tactician).

- You start in this RP with your PC who is at the age of a middle schooler (13-15). The country is Japan, but area in which the events takes place is Alice Academy, where all the PCs and NPCs will be in. The time is set in the same era that we're living in. We'll go with 2009, April 10th (Spring), Monday (please guys, don't bother me so much with days like on previous RP; it's not that important).

- You can't play a non-Alice. Unless the Alice of your PC has the Childhood Form.

- Your character can't be a member of the Dangerous Ability Class without permission (I'll also have to confirm that the Alice of the PC can be used for harm).

- Star Rankings are assigned by me, I'll be carefully looking through the PC's profile before making a decision. Most PCs will be Double Star students regardless, because a students of the Elementary School Division are required to be Double Stars before they can graduate to the Middle School Division.

- I know I said I'll be assigning Star Ranks to the PCs, but I'm probably not giving out any Special Star. Mainly because most of the Special Star students are from the High School Division (except for a few exceptions like Natsume Hyuuga from the manga), and that they're known as the 'true geniuses' with formidable Alices. Hence, they'll only be there are NPCs.

- Most of the Special Stars are on a league of their own (hence NPCs), either with more than one Alices, or a really strong Alice. Their statistics' limits are broken by me... because I couldn't make sense of their abilities and capabilities with 15 points (sorry about that, thought I could keep them balanced).

- Forms of Alices are determined by dice rolls done for each and every PCs (this includes few of the NPCs). This is how it's done. Once a dice is rolled, if the result is: one, then it's Childhood Form. If two: then it's Diffuse. If three: Intermittent. If four: Limited. If five: I decide (hooray?). If six: you get the chance to decide (boo... ?).

- The currency on Japan is usually Yen, but in the case of Alice Academy they're called 'Rabbits' ('RT' for short). Each Rabbits are worth 100 Yen. Alice Academy gives allowances to the students every month: 5 Rabbits for No stars, 30 Rabbits for Single Stars, 50 Rabbits for Double Stars, and 100 Rabbits for Triple Stars, and 300 Rabbits for Special Stars.

- Every PCs will have to play as middle school students. However, you can have your PC either recently enter Alice Academy as a middle school student (so it'd only been an year or two since the PC transferred to the Academy and said PC may still be unfamiliar with some things in the Academy), or make it so that the PC has been transferred into the Academy many years ago, and naturally graduated from the Elementary School Division.

- Age limit is 13-15.

- This is more of a request: try to make the character creative to contribute to the uniqueness of the RP itself. There will be a few special NPCs made for the sake of the plot, but I want more interesting things in this RP. What I want are actual interactions between characters and perhaps some battles that won't drag on till the end of time.

- I'll be posting results of the dice rolls whenever possible and also may give explanations as so what happens why, and for what reason - after rolling the dices. I may get lazy when I have to write too much for too many dice rolls, though.

- Please don't try to make an overly-super-capable character with an overpowered Alice (unless discussed with me about it prior).

- The RP will start (there will be an opening post) some time after we have the minimum amount of character profiles submitted in the thread. Minimum number of players required to have the RP started in seven (8), including me.

- Please don't make an NPC on your own, unless it's your PC's relatives, if said relatives are siblings who appears on Alice Academy... well, we'll have to talk that out.

- Yes, I'm making a Skype chat like every other time I do for an RP. If you don't have Skype, go get it.

- It's probably obvious by now, but it may as well be a good idea to PM me the profile of your PC before you post it. I'd have to see if it's properly done and would have to assign Star Ranking and the Alice Form anyway.

- Lastly, I'm not your ideal Game Master (GM) who's always right about everything. But my calls does hold weight (because I'm the GM, derp). I'll try to play this out as fairly as possible, I ask all of the prospective players to bear with me. Above all things, let's all have fun, but within the reigns of the rules.

Note: Ignore this section if you've watched the anime or manga series (because it's a wall of text). However, I'd ask people who haven't watched the anime or manga series to take some time to get familiar with some of the terms and systems that have been adopted into this RP via the series. Most information are given in order to avoid confusions (pretty much spoiler-free). The Gakuen Alice wiki still has much more information, so you may visit that site if you want to learn more. However, be warned that the wiki's pages definitely contains spoilers here and there.

This section is for those who barely knows anything about the terminology of the series Gakuen Alice. So basically, this section contains some basic facts from the series. I might have missed a thing or two though, I'll add any such thing if do I realize it.

Alice: In Alice Academy, each student has a special ability, or power, called an "Alice". This is something special one can be born with, whether they like it or not. It is speculated that most of the Alices' parents are also Alices.

Alices can be grouped in several ways, such as in types, which describes the affect of the Alice, and Form, which describes how often the power can be used. The power level is categorized via Star Ranking.

There are five Alice types: Latent, Technical, Somatic, Special and Dangerous types.

There are four Forms of Alices: Childhood, Diffuse, Intermittent and Limited.

Alice Academy: A school in Tokyo, Japan for children born with Alices. When they (government or the academy) find one, they would try to bring the child to this school. Students of Gakuen Alice may not leave until graduation or they if no longer have their Alice. They may write letters, but letters leaving and coming to Gakuen Alice are being screened. The school also gives money to the parents of the students who attend the school.

Gakuen Alice consists of four main parts: Elementary School branch, Middle School branch, High School branch and Central Town. Also, there are a lot of forests around the buildings, with names like 'Northern Woods' etc. The Northern Woods is a place feared by many children.

Gakuen Alice's school courses are no different from any other school, there are regular courses such as Math and History. However, the big difference is that the students and teachers have Alices. The students can not use their Alice ability during class without permission. There are also Alice based classes for students to attend to learn how to use their Alices. Students are ranked in a Star Rank system by good behavior and grades.

The school is separated from the outside world with a tall gate that surrounds the whole area. The gate is dangerous to cross over, because those who do are electrocuted. Once someone passes the gate, the teachers are notified and actions - to return the student to the school - are taken. Other than the gate, the school is also protected by a powerful barrier.

Not much is known about the creation of the school and its history. What is known is that the three principals: Principal Kuonji, Himemiya, and Kazumi Yukihira, have been the Elementary, Middle, and High school principals for as long as anyone has remembered.

The school is intended to be a place of protection for young Alice users and where they learn how to use there Alice powers. The high security precautions are due to Alices getting kidnapped for their abilities; having them be regarded as "national treasures", as such, the academy has continued to have strict policies of protection for the students from since a very long time, probably from when it was formed.

Elementary School Branch: This is the part of the academy where children from the age of 3 to 12 study. Class A (for kids from 3 to 9) and Class B (characters from the anime or manga series were in this class) are in this branch.

Middle School Branch: This is the school for students whose age range from 13 to 15. It is also known to be the gossip nest of the academy. This is the division in which our RP will be focused on, as most of the PCs and student NPCs (even teachers) are of this division.

High School Branch: The school for the oldest students. No one else except the high schoolers are permitted to go there. No one exactly knows what happens there. There's a rumor that a warp-hole exists in there. There are also strange looking sculptures around the school, which were apparently made by Alchemy Alice, which attacks anyone uninvited.

Central Town: A place (image) where Gakuen Alice students can go and spend their money, but must get permission to go first. Strange and unique items can be bought there from Alice merchants. It is stated that it was made by people with Carpentering Alices for other Alices.

Students' I.D medals: The students carry I.D. medals that fit in a wallet along with their respective I.D. cards. The I.D. medal has the student's I.D number and a transmitting device in it that was created by someone with an alchemy alice. This can be further explain via an image: click here.

Rabbits: The currency which the academy follows. They're only usable in the academy, especially the central town. Each Rabbits are worth around 100 Yen.

Star Ranking: In Alice Academy, every student is ranked on a Star system that is based on the individual's Alice power, grades, and good behavior, among other things. Students can receive one of five ranks: No Star, Single, Double, Triple, and Special (here is an image to further describe it). Their rank is displayed by the appropriate number of stars pinned on their shirt or cuff (wherever the student decides to pin them), and may grant them extra privileges or discipline depending on the rank.

• No Star: Students with No Stars are generally the youngest students in the academy (7 years or younger). They have weak Alices and poor behavior, basically being sub-average students. Since they have a No Star rank, they do not wear any pin on their shirt/cuffs.
  
  Since No Stars are generally young, they are not treated worse because of their low rank. However, some older (age 10+) Alices who manages to become a No Star ranking, they may get discriminated in many ways, it may result in the student to be: unable to go to Central Town without a chaperone, subject to extra chores, small food rations, and a general dislike by the teachers.
  
  No Stars receive a 5 Rabbit/500 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 5 dollars).

• Single Star: Single Stars are usually in the Elementary Division, possessing weaker Alices, good behavior, and good grades. Basically, they are slightly below-average students. Although still a low rank, Single Stars are serious students and can possess much future potential. They are represented by one star pin on their shirt/cuff.
  
  A Single Star ranking is needed to enter the Elementary Division.
  
  Single Stars revive a 30 Rabbit/3,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 30 US dollars), as well as regular food portions and not many benefits.

• Double Star: These individuals are above average, but still not particularly brilliant or special. Most students possessing a Double Star rank are in the Junior Division, but some have been seen in the Elementary Division (such as Sumire). Double Stars have strong Alices, good or great grades, and good behavior. The are represented by two star pins on their shirt/cuff.
  
  A Double Star ranking is needed to graduate into the Middle Division.
  
  Double Stars receive a 50 Rabbit/5,000 (image) yen monthly allowance (about 50 US dollars), as well as larger food rations and some extra privileges.

• Triple Star: Triple Star students are above-average students that have very strong Alices and great grades. It is almost unheard of for anyone other than a Senior Division student to possess a Triple Star, and so they are well regarded around the school as powerful and studious individuals. Triple Stars are shown with three star pins on the shirt/cuff.
  
  A Triple Star is needed to graduate into the Senior Division.
  
  Triple Stars receive a 100 Rabbit/10,000 yen image) monthly allowance (about 100 US dollars) with very large food portions and other multiple benefits.

• Special Star: Also known as "Principals", Special Star students are the true geniuses of the Academy. There are only six Special Star-ranked students in the entire Academy known currently, posing as truly gifted individuals with formidable Alices and grades. A Special star student is represented by one pin on the shirt/cuff: a single star enclosed in a circle.
  
  Special Stars receive a 300 Rabbit/30,000 yen (image) monthly allowance (about 300 US dollars) as well as many benefits and extremely large food rations.

Form: Each Alice has one of four possible forms, or shapes. The form cannot be controlled by the individual, and it specifies how much the Alice can be used, and how often:

• Childhood: The Alice will appear in the child normally at the beginning, but disappears as the individual ages into adulthood. Once the person's Alice has completely disappeared, the individual is dismissed from the academy.

• Diffuse: The Alice can be used at any time but in relatively low levels of power.

• Intermittent: The Alice can only be used for a short period, at any time, but at a high level of power. But every time the Alice is used, the Alice shortens until the time when the user loses his or her Alice completely and is let go by the academy.

• Limited: The power level of the Alice is great and powerful. The Alice may be used as often and as much as desired. However, every time the Alice is used, the user's body deteriorates. Eventually, because of the overusing of the Alice, the user dies an early death.

Alice Class/Types: At Alice Academy, classes based on Alices are where students explore their powers in their designated class. Classes are separated in five categories:

• Latent Type: Latent Alices have to do with "ESP" abilities, and are commonly associated to superheros. Most of the students of the Academy have Latent-type Alices. It's class is the most popular one in the academy.

• Technical Type: Alices with technical abilities usually has Alices which creates something. Those in this class tend to work independently and sell their works to sponsors. These sponsors help support the club. Inventions by this class are very popular during the Alice Festival.

• Somatic Type: Somatic Alices include powers related to physical and pheromone manipulation. Basically, these Alices physically change or enhance their users, or the person the Alice is targeted at.

• Special Type: Students with Alices that do not quite fit in the other groups are put into the Special-type, and so the Alices in the class are usually rare and one of a kind in the Academy. It is the smallest class by far, and the rest of the students think low of individuals with Special Alices. Special-type Alices include, but is not limited to, Nullification, ability to 'live in the mirror world', or even Shadow Manipulation.

• Dangerous Type: Students with Alices of this type are put into the Dangerous Ability class and forced to do secret missions for the school. The Dangerous Ability class is moderated by the mysterious masked teacher, Persona. The students in this class are also unable to participate in some of the events of the school. One example of a student with a Dangerous Ability is Aoi (the Fire Alice user of this RP) whose Fire Alice has the Latent Type, but is so strong and potentially harmful that it is in the Dangerous Ability Type.

Alices Stones: Also called brinjals, those with Alices are able to make Alice Stones, which are stones that have their Alice power in them. These stones are differently colored and the deeper the pigment of the stone, the more feelings and Alice power is applied to it. A legend in Gakuen Alice is that if a couple exchanges Alice stones, they are soul-mates.

Also, by using the Stealing Alice one can steal an another's Alice ability and receive an Alice stone(s). Those with the Stealing Alice can further utilize these stones by inserting it others using the Insertion Alice, giving them a "Temporary Alice".

Restraints: If one's Alice is considered too strong and a danger to themselves or others, they are usually expected to wear Alice restraints. They come in many forms, commonly seen as accessories; earrings, necklaces, hats, bracelets, masks, etc. Wearing these items will limit the Alice power of the wearer. There is apparently a Black Cat mask which is said to be the strongest restraint, and can only be removed by a teacher.

Alice Festival: The Alice Festival is one of the three main events at Alice Academy. The Ability classes (except the Dangerous Ability class) each host a booth. At the end of the festival is an Alice Festival dance, which is a masquerade dance where a legend says the last pair to dance becomes soul-mates.

Booths hosted by each Alice classes:

• Latent - Haunted Mansion, Peter Pan Ride.

• Technical - Auction of various inventions.

• Somatic - Snow White in the Woods Play, Alice in Wonderland ride.

• Special - Aladdin RPG.

Sports Festival: It takes place in Spring time, and is a major event that all Alice Academy students look forward to. The school is split up into two teams, the Red team and the White team. The Red team consists of the Special Ability group and the Latent Ability group. The White team has the Somatic Ability group and the Technical Ability group. The Dangerous Ability types are aloud to choose which team to join and are split around 50/50. The Sports Festival includes events such as an obstacle course, relay race, a borrowing race, a cheer-leading contest and "horse race".

During the festival all Alices are only allowed to use their Alice three times. They have a sticker on them that keeps track of the amount of times you have used your Alice. Once a student uses their Alice three times, the sticker automatically becomes an Alice surpresser. If the Alice if used anyway the sticker will burst, causing the user to faint. That team is then disqualified from the event. If someone removes someone else's sticker on purpose their team will also be disqualified. Violence is also not allowed, and if you hurt someone, with or without you Alice, your team will be disqualified and you will receive a punishment. Not included in the rules at the beginning, but another way to be disqualified from an event is to have the wrong person participate in an event without permission or notification

Christmas Ball: The Christmas Ball preparations are done on December 23th the day before the Christmas Ball. The student body including teachers are divided into two teams, the "Decorating Team and the "Cake Team". It is a choice on what team one wants to be on, but if one team gets too many volunteers, a drawing is done. The preparations are all done in the building of the ball itself.

The Cake Team's job is to make a giant cake for the Christmas Ball, and other various desserts such as a solid chocolate cake.

The Decoration Team's job is to decorate the ballroom, as well as the giant Christmas tree.

The ball officially starts on December 24th or Christmas Eve. Students are dressed in Christmas outfits to celebrate the occasion. The schedule of the day as followed is Free Time, the Gift Exchange, a Pie Competition, Caroling Teams, and the Masquerade Ball.

Students are given Christmas outfits to wear to the ball. The girls outfits have two types for each division and boys only one type for each division. Although, the Elementary section boys have two types of Christmas outfits for some reason.

Hana Hime Festival: The Hana Hime Festival or Flower Princess Festival is a special event hosted by the Middle School Principal, Himemiya.

Due to Himemiya's preference, men are not allowed to go. The invitees are expected to go to the Hana Hime Den where the event will be held and dressed in kimonos. Treats and desserts will be served at the party. At the event invitees will receive a Hana Hime name. The nicknames have a flower meaning to it.

Hana Hime Den: Hana Hime Den is the location the Hana Hime Festival and where Himemiya resides. It is incredibly large and spacious, so someone not familiar with the den could easily get lost. The den is safeguarded by Himemiya's Barrier Alice and, because she lives in the den, her Alice is at its strongest at lowering Alice power of Alices.

Deep within the Hana Hime den is a dungeon which apparently has a rumor which says that a monster once locked inside it due to it being very dangerous.

Some passive effects of other Alices may be dispelled by the user through subconscious use of the Alice, one of said effects makes the user immune to Pheromone Alices.

Alice Academy is the place where your PC is going to be living in. Despite this fact not being largely known to the general public; it's a very large campus, to the point that it's awe inducing to those who first enters it. An academy which is backed up internally by the Japanese government, one would think that the way the academy is, is rather befitting. The following image is the map of the academy provided in the manga:



There are many unique places in the academy:

A: National Alice Headquarters - The place where the teachers apparently reside in. Meetings between teachers, or even principals, as well as officials from the government in charge of the Academy - for making decisions for anything important also takes place in this place.

B: Central Town - A town that is mostly comprised of shops, and places that provides entertainment services of many kind. It may not seem like it, but it's made with the use of Alchemy Alice alone.

C: Elementary School - The school branch that teaches children from the age of 3-12.

D: Elementary School Dorm - Where elementary school students stays in.

E: Mr Bear's Guard Cottage - Home to a mysterious bear in the Northern Forest, of which it's builder is unknown... As one of the 'strange things that exist in the Northern Forest', the bear is known to be a guardian of the forest. It is rumored that the bear is dangerous, despite it's appearance.

F: Middle School - The school branch that teacher students from the age of 13-15. All PCs are students on this particular school branch, as well as some of the NPCs (and some NPC teachers as well).

G: Middle School Dorm - Where middle school students reside in. This is where the PCs and student NPCs will have a room in.

H: High School Dorm - Where High school students will stay in.

I: High School - The school branch which teachers students over the age of 15. Only high school students are allowed to go there, any uninvited guests are attacked to keep them away.
