I'm honestly not too surprised that they're possibly going bankrupt. I never really kept up with any part of their company other than Project-H, but it seems like they really started to take a hit a few years ago when they couldn't find a printer willing to print their books for about a year. After that, there was some hope with their "Vanilla Essence" Kickstarter which went well in my opinion apart from some delays and they did improve paper quality for a brief period, but they quickly went back to using lower quality paper, didn't sustain a regular stream of releases, and had a difficult time keeping their newer releases in-stock. Meanwhile FAKKU was releasing better quality physical and digital books.

I think part of the reason why they're failing is that I've gotten the impression that they were never able to get a decent amount of revenue from digital sales and needed to survive on physical sales. Unfortunately, they never really improved the resolution of their releases past say circa 2005 quality (though to be fair this might partially be the Japanese licensors not providing good resolution sources). Unless if I'm mistaken, after February of last year they haven't released any physical hentai and have only had digital releases (mostly doujinshi) and some ecchi/borderline h physical releases.

While it's disappointing that they're possibly going under since I always feel that it's good to have competition, it's difficult for a company to stay alive when they're not being very competitive. If they do fail, hopefully some of their release plans get picked-up by FAKKU or another publisher. For instance, there was a Mizuryu Kei book that they were going to release and they had plans to digitally publish Comic Penguin Magazine.

I'm fairly sure that SHIKIMAYA and ENSHODO are the same company or rather SHIKIMAYA was renamed given that the work that ENSHODO has published was on SHIKIMAYA's "Coming Soon" page on their website, the websites of the two are virtually the same, and their logos are nearly identical. I've also noticed that SHIKIMAYA's twitter page is now protected. I kind of wonder if SHIKIMAYA had some sort of legal issues towards the end of last year seeing as they stopped releasing doujinshi in October despite regularly releasing something at least once a month for most of the year. There's also the fact that they had to cease distribution of "Shameless Marriage" because of a third party last November. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if there's never much of an official reason given if any for the change of name if it was because of legal issues.

As for a physical collected version of the Mating With Oni series, I think that'd be awesome. However, it might be a bit too soon considering that it'd only be approximately 100 pages long, which is a bit short for a non-"full color" book.

For some reason, the publisher, SHIKIMAYA, weren't able to continue distributing "Shameless Marriage" because of a third party. Here's a fourm post about it.

As for "Mating with Oni ~Mother & Daughter Chapter~", there are several other doujins with this issue.

It's not on the desktop version of the site anymore either. My guess is that the new "Anime" and "Games" tabs made it too crowded. You can still access it here though: Hentai Magazines - FAKKU. They could possibly put a section for magazines under "Browse" as an alternative.

Been waiting on a 5 book order I think it is... hasn't shipped. This is getting a little old where my order is held back due to 1 book out of a few and then get to see others with their copies already.

It will only ship when all books are ready, so if you ordered the Z-Ton book or Pundemonium you'll have to wait till next year for your book...

I don't see anything in his library showing newer books than Let Your Smile Bloom, I'll check with shipping on Monday in the office just to double check

They have "Honey Pot Style" in their library and that hasn't been released yet if I'm not mistaken. It's paperback release date in the store got shifted to December.

so uh, at anime expo 2017, fakku announced they'd be releasing H anime, starting with Kite.

Since then they've been, as far as I can tell, totally silent about it on both their twitter and the website. I suspect the reason is because they're still working on the technical side to make sure the experience is up to snuff, but the radio silence is kind of annoying.

Coincidentally, KItty Media re-released "Kite" on Blu-Ray earlier this month on the 20th. I wouldn't be too surprised if FAKKU has some sort of deal with them considering that they've worked together in the past.

Unfortunately, there's currently no way to legally stream Hentai in the West that I'm aware of. I think at some point Kink.com had a hentai anime service, but it's long gone and only had older titles. A big part of the reason why there's been so uncensored little hentai anime past about 2007 is because Japanese companies started having two issues that made licensing hentai cause financial loss: too many people pirated it in the West rather than buying it and people in Japan started illegally importing it instead of buying it in Japan since the imports were not only uncensored, but they were also cheaper.

Luckily, two publishers of hentai anime, Kitty Media and SoftCel Pictures, have started releasing new ones on DVD and Blu-Ray in the past couple of years or so. If you want to buy some of their releases, I'd recommend getting them from Rightstuf (plus some of them are on sale right now for Black Friday).

and i think we don't need Comic LO bc Fakku is Vanilla/Loli havy already.

There are less then 100 Loli chapters on FAKKU if you include illustrations and spreads we still have just slightly over 100 “chapters” with Loli Content.

There are almost 2,900 hentai chapters on FAKKU.

Even if we round up and say there are 100 Loli chapters, and we round down and say there are 2,800 hentai chapters that still means less then 4% of all hentai on FAKKU is Loli...all of this is to say that I agree with you I would like more diverse content but FAKKU is by no means “heavy” on Loli content.

They're probably thinking of stuff that has a cute/schoolgirl/kawaii/moe/pettanko art-style and not necessarily actual loli content itself (which isn't very common on FAKKU, unfortunately). While I agree that a cutesy style is fairly common for a large chunk of what FAKKU publishes, it's undeniable that it's a dominant style in Japan especially in commercially published works and as such means that it will probably constitute a large amount of what FAKKU publishes.

I noticed that some of the MEME50 doujin you published not to long ago had some.... chocolate content. Is there any chance of getting more of that type of stuff? like something from Shiina Nami, Cevoy or Nozarashi Satoru?

And for a more reasonable request, what about some of Mogiki Hayami's trans works?

If Cevoy's "Watashi no Himitsu no Seiheki" got an official English release (or any English translation), that would be awesome. Unfortunately, there's not too many tankoubons with *ahem* chocolate. Most of this kind of content comes from doujinshi and some other artists that do this content in doujins that would be nice to see include Dokuro-san, mogg, Erect Swaru, and Ohigetan.

I'm also seconding Mogiki Hayami's trans stuff. I noticed awhile back that the Trans tag has an image from one of their works ("Tonari no Okaa-san") even though pretty much every other tag has been updated with an image of something FAKKU has published.

I believe the missing notifications are related to the code issues FAKKU had yesterday since those two entries were uploaded then.

Out of curiosity, would it be possible to make wallpapers from material in some of the books that FAKKU has published? I randomly remembered that there were two wallpapers made for "Renai Sample" around when it was released and after looking back at some of the older threads in the Books forum, I noticed this preview Jacob posted with assets from "Peachy-Butt Girls" and thought that a higher resolution version could be used to make a nice desktop wallpaper:

Forum Image: https://t.fakku.net/images/upload/cover_cmyk04_4c.jpg

Off the top of my head, a few other covers from books that could be made into desktop wallpapers include "Shoujo Material" (I think I actually had a de-texted scan of this cover as my wallpaper years ago), "Ima♡Real", "Kogals, Sluts, and Whatever.", "MEME50 Box", and "Does This Strange Body Please You?". It might also make sense to have a separate wallpaper thread in the Books forum for wallpapers from books, although it could be confusing having two different wallpaper threads.

Just this year alone (starting January 1st, 2017) I've added nearly 500 chapters to my favorites (they're mostly subscription chapters).

Forum Image: https://i.imgur.com/MQIxd8K.jpg

But in all seriousness, it does seem like the output on FAKKU has been much larger this year mainly because of the three magazines that got added this year on top of how Kairakuten BEAST was added at the end of last year. Because of that, my favorites folder has also ballooned in size (it's about doubled which is saying something since I had around 1000 favorites at the end of last year). I think the consistent quality of FAKKU's releases in comparison to scanlated releases also compounds that (although fan translations aren't nearly as Duwang-esque as they sometimes used to be).

I can't find Nico Shame on the store section, I want to buy both books in one cart rather than seperately via the purchase button on their respective pages.

Can't you just add them to the cart through the purchase buttons?

The purchase button automatically takes you to the checkout with just the single doujin. To be honest, I also like to buy a few at a time especially if multiple doujinshi get released around the same time. There are a few doujinshi other than Nico Shame that for some reason don't show up in the store:

Hypnosis Man's Naughty Sister Training
Mating with Oni ~Mother & Daughter Chapter~ (this one does have a page in the store, but it's for some reason not on the doujin tab)
Victim Girls R: Molester Eradication Campaign

Where did you get your other doujins? I love Mizuryu Kei's work(s)!

Project-H published them last year at Anime Expo and had some on their site in either late November or early December. Apparently all of the MC Academy ones are still available as of writing this.

They are kind of pricey, but comparable to FAKKU's physical doujinshi if you only get the physical copy from Project-H and not the digital (Project-H's digital copy quality is inferior to FAKKU's, fyi). The paper quality is good too unless if they for some reason had a reprint with poorer quality paper (which would surprise me and I find it unlikely since it's a more premium item).

EDIT: Also, if you get a digital copy from Project-H, I'd recommend getting the .cbz since it's very easy to convert to .zip. You literally only need to rename the file extension and it should work (you may need to use a program like 7-zip or WINRAR to properly open it though, I've had some issues in the past with just opening it with Windows Explorer).

Here's a nice preview image to hold you over, I'll be posting these periodically as I continue to work on the book.
(Please note that images used are still a work in progress, and the final product may look different.)
