HEY F@G7W0N. LONTIMENOSEE.
I HAVE A PET SNAKE. IT'S VERY HUNGRY.
MIND IF I BRING IT TO MEET YOUR HAMSTER?
One day. Just one day I want to experience EVO.
And why in hell is there a K.I. demo going on?!
That shit is gunna be terrible.
I agree I disliked that Soul Calibur wasnt up there this year, last year was awesome when the Tira player won.
Any idea why there's no slot for ANY SC in general?

Spoiler:
Okay. I'll tell you straight. You get this game only for the slight nostalgia that most AC players have, that being for ps2 era AC3 and so on. Get VD for more stuffs and gameplay, unless you really like going back for stories to make sense of it all.
LONG EXPLANATION WHY AHEAD.
In truth, AC5 is more like an introduction to new mechanics and set up for Verdict Day, both storywise and testing(imo).
It has slower game speed akin to AC3 and they brought back howitzers, but that's where the similarities end.
AC movement and management is hard to deal with at first.
Walk speed is SLOOOOOOW, even with lightweights.
Boost speed is a touch slow compared to AC3 era.
Boost and Jump are now separated and Jump button comes with a few new mechanics on it's own.
You can jump onto walls and climb buildings by jumping multiple times.
You can jump off the wall to gain range.
Boost has an "on/off" switch.
You can no longer boost upwards and fly around, as they decided to make V ground based and you can only hover down.
Quick Boosting (aka High Boost) makes a return, although it's much more tame compared to speed freak QB in AC4.
Holding the High Boost Button will activate AC's very first melee attack, the shoulder charge. The melee charge damage is based on the leg's initial damage plus weight and speed. Can be used consecutively as long as the energy bar doesn't run out, and has a bit of stun.
Over Boost (aka Glide Boost) makes a return, however with some downsides. You cannot use it in the air or hovering in the water. You must have some type of solid ground to make it feasible and to activate it. You can glide boost in any direction except in the opposite direction of the direction you first applied GB
(ie you GB right and you can go forward and back but you can't go left which will end the GB duration). Aside those setbacks, it's still a great advantage to getting around and even adds damage with your shoulder charge.
The weapon bay system gets rid of back shoulder units and makes all weapons not internalized all handheld (that means you can storage switch between a gun and energy blade).
Shoulder Extensions has been removed.
Weapon Storage has been removed.
Most of the weapon types are there, some are just one line (anything machine gun is automatically a gatling category) and others have been removed (grenade launchers and rockets).
The CANNON line of weapons are akin to the back mounted weapons from days of ye olde, except that they are handheld and when using them you basically can't use your other weapons and some functions. Also, you cannot switch them with the new weaponbay system and tanks are the only ones that can use CANNON types both in each hand while moving.
Missiles, rockets, flares (CIWS), ammo ext., decoys, weapon ups etc. are located all in the shoulder units. Missile and rocket RoF can be doubled if you have 2 shoulder units. You can only have one arsenal housing the shoulders.
Overed Weapons/Ultimate Weapons are the games' true unlockables. However, only 6 exist and it's mostly a pain getting them. Though they are fun to use, they can only be used ONCE per mission and all have an operational time of less than a minute. Also, the transformation for these weapons takes time out of the operational time and you have to charge them on top of that. They also take up 2 of the bay slots you would hold for your other weapons.
Storywise, AC5 has the shortest, most linear story in the entire series. And by story I mean the lowdown on how it leads up to VD.
The main story has 10 missions, but the good thing is their not short and easy(albeit having them played the first time).
Beating all 10 will unlock all weapons and 2-3 of the Ultimate Weapons.
You will have over close to 80 subquests to keep you busy after the main story.
They will contain small story tidbits after the main storyline and will include AC vs AC battles akin to raven arena rankers. Sad to say most of the AI is shit
and you will breeze through most of the AC vs battles.
There are 5 subquests you can only take online and they are boss battles.
There, I've told you the general things you need for SP. Online play is mostly dead till July 13th, in which there will be some sort of event due to ACVD coming out in the fall. Though IMHO most players prob won't come.
All in all, give it try. Though considering your an old fan, you'd probably be disappointed.

I HAS ZE GAME.
105:31 IN GAME GOT FULL ZIN SET. WHEEEEE.
Now just grinding till I get to G rank.
So long. QQ
BTW: GL soloist here. Anyone here NOT a hammer fanatic? I meet alot of them these days.
But seriously, who's with me that Brachydios is on steroids while in Rage mode :V
he's pretty easy to avoid if you're using LS or GS.
just keep your stamina on top shape since you're also gonna need the slimes when it sticks to you.
-------------------------------------------------
here's my tip when you guys reached the G Rank:
if you're planning to getting the rare parts/farm,it's easier to do the Dual Monster quests than the single ones.
so if you want the G rank Bracchidios Equipment/weapons,do the dual Bracchidios.
cus dual monster quests does give more parts at the end of the run duhi
Get HR Ceadeus armor. Any Dios weapon. Have one Shakalaka with Mock Melnyx mask.
You will roll in parts my friend. Got like 2 fucking zin jaspers or deviljho jewels due to this setup.
Its fuggin amazing.

My boner. It popped.
From the looks of it, it looks like a hybrid body/arms weapon integration.
Which looks awesome.
New parts (especially that new KE core. fuggin delicious) make me all the more want to get this game.
And AI program returns from ACSL. Hoping to be much, much better than its older counterpart.
Now the thing that bothers me most is:
1. Will territories return?
2. Will the territory system ever be fixed?
3. Can I hope multiplayer becomes better and be like ACFA in where you can challenge anyone internationally?
4. Will Overed Weapons return?
5. Can Overed Weapons have multiple uses?
