Agreed. Though the problem with morals is that they are left up to personal opinion and interpretation. What I find morally acceptable will cause blood to shoot out of the eyes of hardcore Christians, Muslims, and various other people. Hey, you accused me of never even seeing a gun. I pointed out many instances where I have seen a gun and when I have fired a gun. Don't criticize me for answering your question with an intelligent answer.

If you want an reason against gun control then go back and read my original post. There are A LOT more reasons against gun control than your pussy ass fear of your neighbor. If you were innocent while taking out the trash then there is absolutely no reason for her to have pulled a gun. Which leads me to believe you weren't so "innocent". WMD's are a broad category including nuclear, biologic, radiological and chemical. They believed he had biological weapons, not nukes. While it was rumored that he had them it was unknown if he had the means to launch them half way around the world. Still, the U.K. and various other countries believed that Saddam had WMD's, mostly the weapons he used on the ethnic cleansing of the Kurds in Northern Iraq.

Don't forget the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1441. Sure Saddam gave up his hunt for other WMD's in the late 80's/ early 90's but, when you knew a country with questionable morals was hunting for something before. When they start to say the opposite its hard to believe.

The laws are universal around the country but some are more relaxed than others. On the federal level you have the waiting periods, the background checks, etc. A good rule of thumb is the more republican the state is the more lax the gun control is on the state level and the more liberal the state is the tighter the control is. Like in Washington D.C. hand guns were banned completely with the exception of security officers and police. The ban was deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and lifted it earlier this year.

Besides the fact the father of one of my friends carries a gun in his person at all points in time. Has a collection a various rifles each for a specific function (duck hunting, deer hunting,etc) in a cabinet in the spare room. My father has owned a few hand guns in his lifetime. Several times when I was younger he took me to a local firing range to teach me proper basic use of a gun. I vaguely know how to maintain a "typical" hand gun. I couldn't tell you the model of a gun or the caliber it would use by looking at it but, I have the knowledge I need at the moment. When I get around to buying my own gun I would be more than happy to take a picture for you.

Let's not forget to mention that the boss of a previous job kept a hunting rifle on the floor board of his work truck since he usually went hunting after work.

I agree but, that is hardly hunting. That is pathetic sport hunting under the disguise of "management". It sucks that women earn less than a male counterpart but, working with some women. Some of them are paid what the earn. What purpose does that serve? Statistically, anyone who ones a legally acquired gun is less likely to use it in a situation that doesn't call for it. Good citizens don't threaten people with guns unless they themselves are threatened. You know that drug dealer down the street? Guess where he got his guns? It wasn't through legal channels. Anyone who commits a crime with a gun usually bought a stolen gun or smuggled one into the country.

If you (or anyone) do/does something to get shot by that little white lady. You (or they) probably were doing some shenanigans you shouldn't have.
