Ever watch "NHK ni yokoso!"? It pretty much sums it up.That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw this thread.
Although, psychologically speaking, I'm guessing that in some cases people don't stay in because they want to, but because they feel that they have to. They stay in because they're afraid of what's out there, not because they just feel like being lazy. At least, that's what I got from the show.
Well, Saito practically spells it out for the audience that that is the cause/reason near the end.

Shouldn't people be getting tired of swords/katanas by now? Worries me how popular they are - why all that effort when today we can just shoot a man to death?

If only we could all afford to live in Japan and integrate into the society easily. Then we wouldn't have to worry about loli laws, and instead worry about birth rates.

How can no one mention GLaDOS? For shame.

Fall, fall anime has had better shows for me in the past 3 years.

Wow, I expected like a 95:5 ratio. Current trend isn't bad.

Hmmm. I gave this some thought when it was brought up during a conversation at my uni's philosophy club.
I define time as the measurement between one object's current state and the object's next state. Easy example: a car is at point 'A', and then it is at point 'B'. The "change" or transition between those states is what is generally known as time.
Historically, humans have used an object's constant periodical change to quantify time universally among all objects.
Let's reverse our thinking. What if there was no transition between states? There would be no "time". Whatever the universe was like at the beginning, it still would be the same currently. Therefore we can inversely infer that time is a fundamental component to nature as it is the component that induces change.

1. Find a purpose.
2. Will be decided when I find that purpose.
3. Eat as many different types of food in the world as I can.

Ugh, I'd like to add dark souls PvP enemies. Shit's annoying.

The adrenaline kicks in when you're simply killing as much as you can rather than sneaking around.

I just fought Dark Sun not too long ago. Whoever said he was easy is full of shit. What was your tactic in killing him? Easiest way is to stand outside of his aggro range and poison him to death.
Yeah...I couldnt do that.
My tactic was to dodge all of his cheating spells while sidestep sprinting all of those knives he throws thats like assured death if one catches you, then spearing him in the face until he manages to teleport away. At some point in there I added homing soul mass for good measure. A very hellish rinse & repeat process that had to adapt to Dark Suns randomized attack patterns. When I finally got lucky it took about 10 minutes to take him down.
Grats, now here's the million dollar question. On NG+(or ++...) or not?
Just NG+.
Ah good, there's not that much scaling difference between NG+ and the other ++'s.

I give people stuff randomly.Apparently that's a suicidal tendency. You should probably check it out.
Well, you guys will know what happened if I should suddenly not be on Fakku any more.
Oh god, please don't be weak enough to kill yourself from a message in the forums. I'd have to commit seppuku.

It's amazing. The magnitude of people who refuse to spell things properly, and although they know how to. Disgusting.

Dear My Younger Self,
You might think you're smart, but you're not. Learn from others.
Oh, and get laid already.
With love,
Your future self.
