The reason behind this is similar to FreeNadia's recent "popularity" on the forums. It seems that nowadays, being random and slightly funny warrants applause from the FAKKU community.Therein lies the problem, but I don't find it funny or amusing at all but rather annoying and attention grabbing. This says more about putting the foot down on trolling behavior than anything else, and Nikon agrees with me in his new sticky thread in Random.
Either way, I'm not an proponent of eliminating negative rep, as I see it as something still necessary even if abused. Hell, the entire rep system is abused, as eliminating half the function isn't worth it really.

You're probably right so far as the DS is one of the biggest moneymakers. I don't get what you're saying about the games, though. How does Smash Bros have any less key elements to it than most other games? So it's a fighting game, you're deriding an entire genre; the system it uses is in fact pretty different to the majority. Sure there have been a few Smash Bros games but you could say that about Zelda or Mario and they continue to introduce innovations and provide a quality gaming experience. The Wii also has a ton of innovative and adult games even if they aren't produced by Nintendo, although they tend not to be marketed as well.As for me bashing Smash Bros, that has nothing to do with me flaming Nintendo other than the fact it's a Nintendo release and I don't like the game at all. You do point out something that I think is very true on a much broader basis. I feel that Nintendo marketing is completely slowed down compared to before, and many other games from the other consoles do a much better advertising/promotional campaign than Nintendo of now.
I'm putting down Elvis Presley because there's no other person who actually obtained the title of "king of music".
But honestly, I've never really liked his songs or listen to them, and I think Michael Jackson has him beat in that department.

To me, none of Nintendo's current releases attract me in the slightest. I'm willing to bet that a good percentage of profits come from their line of handheld consoles like the DS. Fuck, back when Gameboy Color came out, that shit had me hooked. Plus, many of the old generation Nintendo games simply rocked. Now, it's nothing new or remotely great. I personally don't think Smash bros to be particularly exciting as I never understood the point of the game other than to throw or hit your opponent off the ledge.
I feel that they're going to have to increase product quality if they're going to be serious with contending with PS, Xbox, and PC.

Cool thread. Don't know why I haven't posted here before.Back on topic:
I'm with Waar and TMS on this one. I hide my preferences. Only 2 of my friends know that I like hentai. A few of my friends in my closer circles only know I like anime/manga, and the outer circle don't even know I play games.
Though a few weeks ago one of my hentai watching friend said that a few of my friends who were over at my place at the time went digging through my computer... and found shit... D: They haven't said anything yet, though.
Uh oh... better bust out your big stick and let it speak for your interests. It's also one of the reasons why I don't really allow people to use my laptop because of certain content that would be better left unseen.

Speaking about canon, Halo 3 ODST has some non-canon theme such as using brutes as their main force and halo 3 ish gear. Though im not complainin bout the game itself and i'll be the first in line to buy it, its just...the weirdness of it all.In the novel Contact Harvest, the brutes were part of the main attack force on Planet Harvest. I wouldn't be surprised to see an ODST facing off a brute on Earth, and in the novel First Strike, Blue team that consisted of Spartans Fred, Linda, and Will encountered brutes on the ground on Earth. So it isn't out of realm.

On a side note, didnt they have something like that in Halo wars? not the ship killin part but using the MAC gun to blow stuff up.Oh yea, I forgot about that. Halo Wars did feature a MAC strike, but I'm not too sure how often you can use it or when since I've never played the game.

also, earth has bout 300 Super MAC guns, compared to Reach's 20. In the end, a fraction of the ships that killed Reach managed to bypass those defences. somethings not right there. As mentioned before, 20 MAC guns and 100+ UNSC ships against 300+ Covnenant ships with better technology with a Covenant flagship... add to the fact that the objective of the Covenant force was not to glass Reach but to obtain Forerunner artifacts reveal that the Covenant fleet's was for diversion while the real force of seraphs, dropships, and other smaller ships was sent planetside. No way the Covenant would sit and let the MAC rounds punch through them if their objective was to simply slaughter all traces of human life.
A separate post, to note that I'm not double-posting.
A note about muscle building and training - you may not think of it, but working out your muscles burns quite a bit of calories. Usually higher number of reps and lower sets with less weight will help you achieve that weight-loss goal. Who doesn't like to have guns? It's a great way to be strong and skinnier at the same time. At the minimum, 10 reps per set, and maybe 2-4 reps in total.
A point to note about your abdominals, abs. You can work them out everyday without fear of overworking. They are probably the only set of muscles where you can daily work them out without fear of cramps or strain. Other sets of muscles usually require a good half-day's to two days rest depending on how hard you work them out.
Swimming is also great cardio workout, and is probably the best for burning calories due to swimming through water resistance and the fact that the entire body is used to propel yourself through the water. Much better than the treadmill or stepper.

I, for one, think that random is in need of its own specific mod, rather than leaving it up to the admins and the global mods.I NOMINATE MYSELF, I DO NOT THINK ANYONE ELSE IS FIT FOR THE JOB OTHER THAN ME
I nominate FreeNadia.
I hope you guys are joking because that was not funny in the least bit. This is a rather serious topic, not for antics.
edit: now that I think about it, it's crap like this ^ that the forums are lowering in quality because people seem not to understand that there is a time and place for everything.
@lollollol12: sorry for mispelling your name... it's easy to forget a "l" here and there. But in any case, I was using you as an example, but there was no malice behind my intent I assure you. However, rules need to be followed, or else this site will turn to 4chan chaos and bullshit.
@TMS: It's possible that Random needs it's own moderator, but the same thing could be said for IB section. Though in this case, I think we should leave it to the global mods and go from there.

@Nikon: Fair enough; we're only human.
Additions to the mod team can be a solution, but I think we should wait and see if things stay status quo or go up or down. If the quality keeps decreasing, increase the number of mods whenever necessary.

Here's a torrent for Inyouchuu Shoku: http://deadfrog.fapis.com/download/12135/Inyouchuu%20Shoku%20Vol.%201-2.torrent
And one for Inyouchuu, ep 1 subbed, ep 2 raw: http://deadfrog.fapis.com/download/12816/Inyouchuu%20Vol.%201-2%20%28ep.%201%20subbed%2C%20ep.%202%20raw%29.torrent
I like your avatar btw, very nicely made.
On another note, I don't know why or who gave you your -rep, but I gave you the benefit of a doubt and +repped you. Having a -1 rep looks awkward.

I feel that people being unclear about rules and reporting posts wrongly (which cannot be disagreed with), leaving mods with a huge number to work through and maybe a minority which are unsuitable, is far more problematic.I think you don't realize the scale at which users actually report posts. I'm pretty sure most don't, and only those who care enough will report posts/threads when they see fit. So a deluge of reported posts/threads shouldn't be a worry in any case. Plus, it's usually the oldfags that do it.

Jeezus, don't these idiots ever have anything else to do than to make fun of someone's interests? It's like the same everywhere you go. Anime and hentai are totally underappreciated and over-stereotyped. The fact that they know about "cartoon porn" in it of itself is contradictory and hypocritical. One day man, you oughta break their nose or two, to show that you're fucking serious. (I don't recommend it, but I wouldn't mind seeing those jerks crying for their mommies by a hentai-loving guy.)

Meh, New Zealanders. *Shrugs* The teachers never say anything to me because I'm the typical straight-A's Asian student. Teachers love us.I'm half convinced that the reason why teachers love Asian students is because we're smart and totally respect the teachers and serious about learning. That, and the fact that we jack off all the time boosts our brainpower. (I'm joking with that last statement... but I wonder and it could be true for all we know.)
I would like to note that some of the drop in quality can be somewhat attributed to the admin staff itself. I'm not pointing fingers and I'm certainly not saying that they aren't doing their jobs, but many times in the past, I noticed that spam/trolling posts made by certain members would be completely overlooked by the admin staff, and so they continue being the pricks and idiots they were. For example, we ignored (tried to, then tried banning him, then accepted him) FreeNadia, and while his posts of late have indeed increased in quality, how many posts do you go back and find that they aren't spam? It's a case where the userbase and admin staff just kinda blew it off, and while this has nothing to do with the amount of noobs on FAKKU!, it certainly set an example for later trolls. What KloWn and Arren mentioned only serve to reinforce my point. User lollollol12 was an example of blatant racism, which took more than a couple of weeks to curb his racist posts due to Raze's timely interference. Things like this shouldn't take that long to respond, and in the meantime the forums deteriorate a little more. (It may seem I have a personal problem with lollollol12, but no matter what angle you look at it, he's broken several rules at FAKKU!, including the one where TYPING IN CAPS is frowned upon and not allowed.)
As far as what Nikon mentioned, he's totally right and people shouldn't be afraid to report threads or users. I use it whenever I need to, and sometimes it's quite often that I report more than once a day, which is bad enough. I'm only hoping that the admin staff and userbase can adhere to the rules more strictly, and that the admin staff should have no qualms in bringing down the hammer whatsoever. As much as the admin staff can control it, the userbase also has a responsibility to the health of the forums itself.
And another thing: personal beef with a user should never be brought out into the forums unless PMing the user or the admin staff about the user doesn't work. Things are better left to private than public. I hope this will ease Gambler's worries about user tension.

Meh, do what you need, but you'll miss quite a lot. (I know I did during my three month abrupt hiatus.) Lemiel is trapezing somewhere in the wilderness, but he just checked in yesterday.

Most likely they'll find a couple of suitable candidates to oversee the operation and financing of FAKKU! or else they'd shut the site down. Either way, it shouldn'e be something that we should worry about... compared to the advent of hentai banning that's happening worldwide.
This must be the first time where I won't say that this "status-reaching" thread belongs to IB because in it you contributed your own translated work. Nice work there, and congratulations on reaching elder. I reached my anniversary not too long ago as well, which makes us old fags, lol.
People still raggin your ass about loving hentai/anime/manga?

No, users should not have any impact on the meters life whatsoever. The only thing users can do is hit the report button and allow the mod to view the post and them decide whether or not the meter should be brought down.It seems valid enough, but there might be some extra legwork involved. I proposed something like this before to a different extent where a user has three strikes, and only the admin staff can determine whether you struck out. After three strikes (warnings), the user is temporarily banned. After serving the temp ban, they only have one more strike before permanently banned. Give or take, a strike can be erased through a timespan of a month, which will hopefully enforce good behavior. Perhaps on strike two, the user will be banned from the requests section and User Uploads. Maybe something like this could be used in effect in conjunction with your HP warning meter.

I basically agree that the rep system isn't a reliable way to judge people, only reading someone's posts is. People who write intelligently consistently will be worth reading, people who repeatedly post drivel will not. While I agree with what you're proposing, you still get people who get repped nevertheless for their pointless drivel and antagonistic posts. Lollollol12 is an example of a user who gets repped even though many of his past and present posts have racist connotations behind them, and he keeps typing in caps, and yet he still gets repped - rep in it of itself is a broken system without a doubt.
