You're actually right. I just looked over to the Death penalty home page and apparently the costs of putting someone on death row is staggering, like millions.
Still, I can't get that image out of my head where you get these criminals sitting on couches sipping wine and watching ESPN in their private cell that's lined with carpeting. It might be too much Hollywood influencing my perspective.

A reason I would give to support the death penalty while skipping the moral and ethical mumbo jumbo is that hey, that's less taxpaying money we have to pay to keep these criminals alive. I think that prison is a necessary institute, but there has to be a fine line of servicing people for crimes or torts and pampering murderers, psychos, deranged rapists, etc.
