It is win, but in a AR, I look for both accurate/penetrating fire as well support role for cover fire. An ideal AR would be something like:
Bullpup design
7.62mm bullets
30-40 round magazine, which can be split into 15/16/18/20 dual chambered magazines
2'3" - 2'8" length gunwise
Burst-fire/automatic fire option
Effective range of 400 meters, up to 700 meters
I keep thinking that a hybrid of Halos' AR and BR would be the best rifle, incorporating AR's high rate of fire and close-range use with the BR's high accuracy and use at mid-range combat. Keep in mind that I have a slightly higher than normal interest in guns because I believe in the zombie apocalypse, hence my need for automatic fire.

@KLoWn: oh yeah, the concussion effect... yikes. The Terrans in SC2 have some real kick ass ground units this time around, like the Marauder, Hellion, and Reapers. Hellions replace the vulture unit but is so much more effective at Protoss with its flame-based special attack from the rehashed Firebat. Reapers... great units for wreaking havoc on the mineral line, especially with those C4 charges. I really like what I see with the Terran lineup, but it's literally full of brand-spanking new units that will take quite a while to get used to.

Good job at following the rules. You didn't even mention where they're from.
This is the format: name (series)
This isn't rocket science, guys. Like I mentioned before, those who do not at least follow the name (series) format will simply not be on the list. You have been warned.
But for $1880? I could get a shotgun and another AR for that kind of money.
I do admit the forward ejecting mechanism is pretty cool, and it doesn't like it'll get in the way of firing either. And either the guys firing the gun are weak or have bad firing stance, or the recoil from the gun is bigger than I imagined.

Lol, the Kel-Tec RFB. Add a shroud to it, and move the magazine further back and replace the magazine for a 36 round, dual chamber 18 rounds, magazine, add a scope, and you have the BR from Halo. It looks pretty dang close.
Goliaths are an excellent unit for anti-air purposes. Kinda like the hydralisk/guardian combo, the goliath/siege tank combo is killer. I see it all the time with Terran players who use the heavy metal approach. The Valkyrie was dumb indeed, I agree, but it got rehashed with the goliath into the sick-ass Viking - awesome shit there. The Marauder unit is like a scaled down version of a goliath that can't attack air but does more ground damage in compensation.
I could do without the pompousness in the writing, regardless of your validity and soundness of your arguments. Keep it simple, but not arrogant would've served your purpose better.
Much like Tranquility and many others, I agree with everything you mentioned, but enforcing the signature size is going to make a whole bunch of people cry, not that I care. My own sig size is 450 x 150; the 400 I don't mind but 55? That's really small, but I would like to point out that 450 x 150 was a standard signature size from a pervious forum I used to go to. Basically I'm arguing for a more lenient sig size but a restriction nonetheless from the monster crap I've seen.
I just disable signatures all together since the beginning though. Makes my life so much easier.
I applaud your efforts in making the forums a better place though, I do. Reminds me of my own attempt a year ago to overhaul the rules and FAQs.

To clear some things out of the way:
@Waar: It's like the disclaimer before all the pretty little things that make you go, "Oh, ah, I'm lucky to have this!". Had to get it out of the way. I promise I won't bite from now on.
@Arbitor: you had two choices down as everyone does. I gave you the benefit of the doubt and put down both. If you didn't want her, you shouldn't have wrote her name down in the her first place, silly. (And who doesn't want an extra waifu?) And yes, I just checked that Yuna doesn't have a last name, but I that doesn't mean that everyone else is safe either.
@Kadushy: your request has been duly noted and the switch has been made. FYI, you earlier did not provide a last name for Talho from Eureka 7, i.e. Talho Yuki.
@everyone else: I will probably post an updated version of the waifu list every other thread page.
Can someone else shed light on elfen Lied's post? I got the lucy/nyuu part, but chii? He's the only person so far to post and not have his claims honored. There might be one or two other objectionables.

I think it would help if people started seeing the list early to get a general idea as to which prospective and potential waifus are unclaimed. Thus, users aren't left with a day or so to figure out who to gun for at the first round. This here is the list according to claim order, in other words posting order: http://www.mediafire.com/?tokiwuzdtg2
This is a work in process, and I will not move it to the proper format, aka spoiler form in alpha order by waifu names, until Saturday when everything is in. Unless I can somehow find a way to transfer Excel to this post box... I might have to ask Ziggy on how she did that Pokemon game thing as it seems like a likely solution.
This game is as fun as the users make it out to be, and we are working on the honor system here for the Reclaim week. If I or any other waifu record-keeping user finds out that people have lied about their choices, swift punishment will be dealt through Waar's approval. If people don't find their names in this list, it's either you posted during me making this post or that your posting format was bad and did not conform to posting standards as outlined by Waar. I don't miss as I'm a pretty thorough sonofabitch. A must-have quality of any accountant, of which I'm aspiring to be.
Other than that, have fun, and let the waifu claiming continue. I can only imagine the immediate scramble and scuffles for waifus as people scream/type in frustration.

@Naoto Shirogane: I have a question. Naoto Shirogane, can you complete the list without any outside assistance? Because Waar told us that if we wanted round 1 to start on Sunday, you would need help in compiling the list. If you need help, say so because I'm willing to set aside some time to compile the list of claimed waifus.
And for everyone else, no fucking abbreviations, first and and last names if possible, and no coloered text PLEASE!
For e.g.: R+V? Fully spelt out please. Or Yuna? We all know she has a last name, put it in!
Makes it easier for us without having to guess who your character is or what series she/he came from. If it were me, I wouldn't even bother inputting your half-assed choice into the list, but I'm not the game creator and only a potential helper in creating the list, as well as for Naoto Shirogane. It also shows that you don't really care about your waifus.

7.62 Nato rounds in a small magazine? That's quite a stretch of a magazine container even without the springs. Those bullets are huge, but offer good to great penetration depending on the gun.

Lucky Star... so full good of moe. These videos are good due to lip and video syncing to the lyrics and music tempo. A lot of AMV creators can't even do that.
I fucking knew it, Waar, that you weren't going to drop Yoko.
I'll be keeping:
