I fucking hate spraining my ankle again and again. Just sprained my ankle two days ago, made my museum trip to the MET a bitch. I had to rest a couple of times in order to keep moving from gallery to gallery. This is about the third or fourth time spraining it 4 years ago.
This thread is for the Metropolitan Museum of Art experiences, not just my own. The Metropolitan Museum of Art (the MET) is located in New York, NY, on 5 5th Ave and 82nd St, and it's been around for quite a while. I've been to the museum twice, the first visit a long time ago and the second visit today with my art class and professor. My assignment was pretty simple: compare and contrast two pieces of art from 1850 to present. I happen to like Chuck Close's works and use of pixelation, and was quite pleased to see his self-portrait at the MET, whereby I decided to use his work of art as part of my assignment. Here's the photo taken from my cellphone:

(If you look closely enough in the reflection, you'll see a person holding a sketchbook with one arm raised - that's me.)
I wandered around the modern art collection to get my assignment out of the way, and lo and behold, a painting of unusual quality caught my attention. It might seem like an ordinary landscape painting, but the painter Stephen Hannock subtly superimposed a collage of images from magazines or text. You can't make the words or pictures out, but here's a picture of his painting:

After obtaining my two pieces of artwork for my assignment, I wandered around quite a bit. Many artists like Georgia O'Keefe, Andy Warhol, Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso, Cindy Sherman, Vermeer's Milkmaid series, and especially Damien Hirst's famous real shark in a tank piece are featured in the museum. Many other galleries existed, and visited the following galleries in no particular order with interest:
Modern Art
Greek and Roman Art
Arms and Armor
Asian Art - Japanese, Chinese, Southeast, Korean, South Asian
And another piece to note besides Damien Hirst's shark was another Modern Art piece of some really cool metal, and bunch of small, metal, congruent hexagons done in a large curved bowl:

And of course with modern art, there are certain pieces that make me wanna go, wtf, this shit is art? But all in all, I enjoyed my visit to museum and I hope others will too, or if any FAKKU! users have been to the MET, please share your experiences, feelings, and opinions of the trip and the works of art themselves.
Some FYIs:
- Don't go to the museum on a rainy day like today, because it gets friggin crowded like hell. It must've been over 10,000 ~ 20,000 visitors today.
- The food isn't particularly special and is expensive as shit.
- The fee to pay up front is OBLIGATORY. You don't have to pay the recommended fee as the sign says, but it is courteous to give something in return. I'm a student, so a student's recommended fee is $10, but I gave them $3 instead. Good enough.
- Go with a small group for discussion purposes and fun. Too big of a group and it's not fun any more; more like a tour guide.

Refers to my other post in the yuri thread, but somehow in general people don't like to see two dicks together compared to having two holes together. I can't explain it, but that's what I've observed.
You might be referring to Tuna Empire's Family Circumstances. The cumming on the grave off tipped me off. And for future reference, these sort of questions do belong in the Request section.
The only way for us to get rep back is to grow up. Rep's like a toy, and we can't share it nicely so daddy (Jacob) took it away from us to punish us.
Now all we need for FAKKU! world domination is for users to make over 9000 posts daily, and we'll officially be number one under the sun.
It's a funny movie that is crossed between Shaun of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead. You add the humor from SotD and the realism from DotD and you get Zombieland ftw.
You might wanna clear out your cookie folder. Maybe there's some unwanted or too many junk in there that could cause problems for other cookies to load.
I think the problem with GDI is that it has extra units that are good but somewhat unecessary, making it ridiculously expensive to build a decent or well-rounded army. As for Nod, all I need are a bunch of artillery and some ground units for anti-air and ground support and I'd wipe your base/army out. I believe that the artillery is the single most unbalanced unit in the game, at least for C&C Tiberium Sun.

I passed this thread the other day because I had nothing to contribute, but now I do. Just 15 minutes ago I was fapping in the shower, you know, doing my thing. For some god-forsaken stupid reason I decided to sit on one of the inside corners of the tub, and things started to get good. Im about to "come to fruition" when I slip forward into the bathtub, hitting both my elbows on the floor of the tub to break my fall. It hurt like a motherfucker. I tried to go back to jerking it but I was in too much pain and I couldn't. In fact, i got out of the shower and walked to my kitchen got an ice pack and decided to go on Fakku and contribute to this thread instead. The funniest thing I've read so far on this thread. To fail at fapping is pretty lame indeed.
@eternalslumber1234: I was hoping for a different answer... but it does seem to stem from that fact.
It's interesting, yuri, because both girls and guys like it. On the other hand with yaoi, the girls like and the guys go, "Yuck!" I suppose I'm questioning why people in general believe that committing lesbian acts is generally more acceptable than committing gay acts. I suppose it has to do with our views on sexism and that probably most people think that women are sexier than men. (And of course, why women are considered sexier originates from our male-dominated society and views associated with it.)
