Getting back on topic, it appears that you want the best for your ex-girlfriend, which is why you informed her parents about her behaviour. At the same time, I cannot help but feel that you wish to get back with her. Could you be worried that your actions may have selfish motives included?
At the end of the day, we can only advise others on certain issues. Ultimately, the decision lies with them.

I will talk to said user to determine if there is any other solution to resolve the problem between us, assuming there is one in the first place.

Perhaps the culture of bullying is too embedded into society for things to change overnight. However, if no one takes the first step into the right direction, nothing will ever change.
I am not sure what my fellow Fakku members feel when they read about highschool shootings or incidents along those lines, but for some reason, bullying comes to mind. There is a possibility that the culprits behind these shootings may actually be victims of bullying, causing them to retaliate, albeit in the wrong manner.
I would think the authorities should stamp down on bullying for starters, but how to go about doing so is quite a difficult problem.

However, I do not wish to see the trend whereby one topic is created in another section and the same user posting in Incoherent Babbling with simply a link to his/her thread. Maybe I am just being overly worried, but the possibility of the idea gaining popularity exists.
