I guess, even at 19 years old, I enjoy celebrating birthdays. Though, more and more every year, it becomes less of a party, and more of a chance to spend time with loved ones. The whole family is usually busy all year long, so even one day-off is a huge relief. I'm also one of those people who value family and friends very highly. Each birthday also reminds me that time passes by faster than we can imagine. So, for those who just sit idly all day (no offense to other Fakkuzas :P), take your birthday as an alarm. You're gonna get more responsibilities and work, but the payoff is all worth it. So wake up, 'cause life is calling! :D
Off-topic: My birthday is Dec 17th. Turning 20 this year. You, Gambler?
Yup, I noticed that too. Based on my observation of friends, they first started out with parties at clubs and pubs, but as they grew older, it became simple gatherings among close friends to have dinner or engage in some other slow-paced, leisurely activities.
That being said, I think you mentioned something about studying abroad soon? Will you be able to celebrate your upcoming birthdays with family members and friends?
Unfortunately, I am slightly older than the average Fakku member. I will be turning 27 near the end of August. I will reveal more details as the date approaches. Start preparing your PMs and well-wishes! :P

[font=verdana][color=green]Meh; my birthday means very little to me. I don't mention it to anyone, don't even go out for it - I only receive the cards from the family who obviously know it's my birthday that day. Too much hassle. Too much of a waste of time. Just a number denoting how I've lived.
In that case, I guess we have different views on birthdays. Personally, I like to use birthdays (not only that of mine) as an excuse to celebrate, with family members and friends. And to indulge in some form of relaxation (some call it slacking) from work. ^_^;;

As I don't have family and rarely any supports I don't tend to make a big deal out of my birthday (other than the fact I like to have it as a day to relax lol)I do not discourage when my friends do say happy birthday or just wanna hang out that day. But from how I grew up I learned not to expect too much because if you did and it never happends it tends to be somewhat of a let down and your birthday can feel worse for it. that is why I tend not to make a bigger deal about it but dont complain if my friends do lol
I always think of my birthday as Me surviving another year so of course it is something to be happy about :D
I would think you are quite a realistic and optimistic person, based on our conversations thus far.
Lesson Learned: With age comes wisdom... at least to a certain extent. :eng101:
Surviving another year would also indirectly mean that one has gained more knowledge and experience in life. :) Level up!
Time for a new topic: Birthdays!
Please kindly refer to the opening post for more details. Mainly because I am a thick-skinned bear! *Cough Cough*

A little late to the fray, but I suppose having some pregnancy-related doujinshis and mangas, as long as they are not too extreme in nature nor breaking the rules, could help to diversify the genres available on Fakku.
Give me some time to read through more stories found in the Writing and Fanfiction section, so that I can come up with some recommendations in future.
To tell the truth, I kinda enjoy some of Joe-Kun's Pokemon fanfiction. Of course, it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but using the background information and personalities of offical characters, and subsequently coming up with a decent storyline, does not sound like an easy feat to me.

Well, your warm fluffy fir is always welcome ^_^
I would protect you if I could lol, Nothing like a nice yandere to watch your back right?
It is actually a decent day outside but it is dark in my room, I'm normally a night person and prefer night over days, but there are times that relaxing under the sun is a most enjoyable time.
I can already imagine a bear and yandere combo. More tag team partners for me! Yay!
The sun can definitely be relaxing at times, as long as it isn't too hot.

So what is everyone up to?Actually, I am about to visit my care bear cousins in dreamland.

those aren't the only things at my disposal

... And to escape the clutches of an electrifying device. You wouldn't want a bear to suffer from nightmares, don't you? :D
That being said, good night everyone! Have a pleasant week ahead!

Thanks a lot Gambler, it would certainly help out a lot~It would be very beneficial if that thread could significantly boost the activity in the writing section~
No problem. I will attempt to boost the activity levels in the Writing section when I next log in, even though I am not much of a writer.
Aura-Desu wrote...
Hmmm, while that may be the case for most people do you not think a yandere is psychotic enough to just be able to muster the strength to do it? lol
Actually, I am not sure if that will be an enjoyable experience. :D

I'm pretty sure that even my loli army can glomp you just fine, Gambler-san.Spoiler:
That is quite a fit female character you have there. The abs!

Brotherhood seems to rush much more quickly through the first parts of the story...
I suppose you may be right. Otherwise, I doubt they can cover the entire manga within the 60+ episodes. But all in all, it did receive positive ratings from viewers.

LOL. My bad~ name change derp! xD
Lucia will always have a place in my heart... for wanting bear meat as food. Ssshhh...

*bearhugged by Gambear* How was your weekend Gambler?
Actually, I felt it passed by too quickly. ^_^;; On the bright side, I am already into Tuesday.
Aura-Desu wrote...
But, too much change can overwhelm and confuse =/
*Cough Cough* You are in a position to speak. :D
Then again, I should beware of the knives, cleavers and bear traps. I may be walking on thin ice here.

@Gambler, You dun know about glomping? BEHOLD!!Spoiler:
*bear hugged*
How are you doing these days, my dear bear (the one who I bought)?
Hmm... I don't think bears go down that easily. Lol!
Not very good. Kinda tired at the moment, but I feel like spending more time with my fellow Fakku members. Touched to tears, aren't you all?
Aura-Desu wrote...
@Gambler

Again, I would say it is not very scientific. Glomping is possible when done on a human, but bears are a lot more heavy and sturdy. :D Unless you people are of extraordinary strength and build.

Hello Gambler-san, it's rare for us to online at the same time ^^*Bear Hugs*
Definitely rare, even though we are only a few hours (or less) apart... I think.

Gaaaah...This thread is super dead~
Could anyone please help me to liven things up a bit, probably post one or two of your favorite stories here?
I suppose I should add that to my to-do list. :)

As the signature says, finally continued watching Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood again. Somehow never got past ep. 4 at the time it actually aired...
Oh, I see. Many have claimed that Brotherhood is much better compared to its first counterpart. However, I thought

First avatar not made by myself as well. Got it from Look-tan.Watching some anime right now.
May I enquire which anime title you are currently watching? Bears tend to be interested in those titles falling under the ecchi category, perhaps with some comedy thrown in.

/bear glomps
lol I never change my avi
>_>
<_<.
I have always wondered... what exactly is a glomp? Is there some illustration to provide me with a clearer picture?
The one image which comes to mind is someone or something biting on my head. ^_^;;
And I am very sure you just changed avatars recently. :D

Hello peoplez.Nice avi, Aura.
As usual, the customary *bear hugs*.
Hmm... the name of this place reminds me of all the art and graphic books of the same name being sold in the book store which I work at. And their covers tend to have handsome male characters gracing them. :D
In addition, although a little late, I wonder why someone underwent another username change.

the "word" came from the university website and its Grade checking system.I'm still hoping for the second one to pass
Well, by now I was just ungrating and painting, But I'll get more stuff to do in the future
Oh, I see. In that case, I wish you luck on your second paper.
Start with simple chores and you will eventually rise to the more complicated ones. Speaking of which, the smell of paint can be unbearable after some time.

lol, maybe it is from all the times of resting on my lap? =P
and you never know some may just hunt to bear for its awesome bear hugs? lol
My mood is fine, though it is still afternoon Monday (locally) here lol
so what is it like in the future? :o
Now you are making me feel embarrassed. Then again, I am still on my search for the perfect pair of pillows. :D
I suppose that is another valid reason for others to hunt me down. Better to be giving out hugs than serve as food or a prize on somebody's wall.
Although I am a few hours into the future, it is rather quiet in the wee hours of the morning. Furthermore, it was a rainy Monday and thus, the weather is kinda cold. Come to think of it, whenever someone mentions afternoon, I get the impression of warm sunlight shining into the balcony of an apartment.
