In a very negative way of putting it, women don't have to do anything because they are the prize. It seems as if men will do anything to get will the girl of their dreams, but girls will wait for the guy of their dreams to make a move. But hey, prove me wrong as I don't like this conclusion I've come to and would love a much more pleasant and less skewed one.

Ahhh. I would loooooooooove to see you bring this argument to my gender studies classes... you'd find out quickly that you're just seeing one side of the coin.

Assertive and non-passive females exist, but it's clear you haven't had exposure to that many.

in one instance it was completely evident that both of the parties were interested in the other, but it still fell to me to ask her on the date. That's annoying as hell. The guy has to think of some fun activity to take the girl on in order to impress her and get a second date. Evolutionary wise it makes perfect sense, but I still don't like it.

I (and a number of my female, hetero friends) are usually the ones to ask our dates out initially.
