It really depends on the person's facial type/structure.
Some can pull off hair nicely, some can't. A nicely trimmed patch of hair, beard or mustache can work for some, but others may look best clean-shaven.

I am 21 and I only had my first real, self-bought drink on Saturday (lol my birthday was back in August but no big party).
It was sake and it was amazing! However, even after one small drink and a short walk later to a bookstore, I could start to feel it (I get very red-faced just like all those anime stereotypes, lawl...).
It was nice for a while and I never felt super drunk, but I did feel slightly uncomfortable.
I don't plan on drinking much in my life, but maybe another sake sometime. :)
