Theres this old watch in my room that makes a certain noise that you can hear when its silent enough. Dunno why i find it relaxing but it is.I think I once read that ticking watches or a constant dull beat per second is very therapeutic (to an extent... we all know how infuriating a LOUD tick can become, I'm sure!) as it mimics the mother's heartbeat we heard in the womb.
Hence why some babies fall asleep faster while held to your chest. :)

I'd definitely recommend Astro Glide myself!I think the main problem that I have is finding a lube that's gonna be absolutely flawless in terms of interaction with my skin. If anything starts to irritate and I have to show it to a doctor, my parents WILL know (being a dependent and all that shit).
Wait till you're back in school then.
School clinic has seen worse, I assure you.
Blast porn volume to counter. That, or moe anime themes. Or the Panty and Stocking OST, it combines the best of the two.

But we have gotten off topic. This forum is here to dicuss the claim that there is more than one type of rape. Also wether or not woman have this "magical defense barrier" that can differ rape sperm from other sperm.
On the topic of where Senator could have gotten his crazy idea about magical pregnancy-stopping uterus functions, lots of news sources have pointed back to a "Dr. Willke" who holds radical, unscientific views on abortion.
http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2012/08/21/todd-akin-finds-a-friend-in-john-willke-a-pro-life-founding-father.html
Ironically enough, the highly erroneous article Lustful linked us to earlier in this thread

http://www.christianliferesources.com/article/rape-pregnancies-are-rare-461 was written by this quack.
Here are a few of his "works".
"And in 1999, he wrote an essay [the very one cited by Lustful] saying that pregnancy from rape is rare. That’s the piece getting cited in the media now.
In that essay, Willke argued that factors such as physical trauma, stress, infertility, and birth control make it highly unlikely for women to get pregnant from rape. “There’s no greater emotional trauma that can be experienced by a woman than an assault rape,” he said. “This can radically upset her possibility of ovulation, fertilization, implantation, and even nurturing of a pregnancy.”
He offered up a complex mathematical calculation in the essay on how he arrived at his theory that pregnancy from rape is extremely rare. He also drew a distinction between “forcible rape,” statutory rape, and date rape. He said date rape counted as “forcible rape,” but that statutory rape was in a different category, as it could be consensual."
Basically, if someone's raped and has the emotional wherewithal to survive it, these magical, unproven "mechanisms" of stress kill any baby growing inside the womb. This is pretty bullshit, as tons of scared/stressed/emotionally-compromised women carry children born of rape to term.
Further more, he somehow thinks statutory rape isn't all that bad... yeah, he's off his rocker.
I like the way one person put the pro-life viewpoint: "On the one hand, they claim that rape doesn’t cause pregnancy. At the same time, they say pregnancy from rape shouldn’t justify abortion. Which one is it?”
Clearly they realize pregnancy can occur from rape. So to deny it is just foolish.

Never been much for gardening, myself- mostly because I can't tell what from what.
You keep a vegetable garden?
Nah, but used to - overgrown now, need to fix that.
But since my mother has to work on selling our home ( ;-; divorce = can't afford to really keep it, and no use having so much space with us kids grown) we've been doing a lot of weeding in the front and back yards to keep it good looking.
I saw a great webcomic/comic once: the artist claimed weedpulling was therapeutic, because, if you do it just right and pull out the roots, it's "like pulling someone's head off with the spine attached". XD
I just saw a memory-evoking comment on an article discussing the end to Nintendo Power magazine.
The poster stated thus:
"There was a new boy in our neighborhood who had moved here from Guatemala and did not yet speak any English. He came and sat down next to me and pointed at the magazine and we discovered that we had some words in common already: "Mario" and "Zelda". He was a friend for many years after that."
I had similar experiences with other kids from all over the world during my travels: our knowledge of Pokemon was an instant common bond. I made many friends (some of whom I have kept, some I lost contact with over time) with people/kids from many walks of life through shared interest, just as many of us have on Fakku.
What are some interests that you found in your life (childhood or otherwise) allowed you to form a bond with new friends or strangers? I think it's interesting to consider.

For those of you who don't feel like reading through what the equivalence of 4chan ironic shitposting is.
Although I wouldn't dismiss the information in Lustful's links right away.
Ah, yes, the article is somewhat satirical, but in the context of my post, I was using it mainly to point out hilariously erroneous instances of classification of rape.
The RAINN stats and PubMed are much more reliable, and more scientific, sources, for actual statistics.
However, Lustful's link cited research conducted mostly in the 1970s by only two sources, so I think it is rather questionable.
I'm kinda sad, my cake was made from boxed mix... usually I buy Pilsbury's trademarked Funfetti kind, but my mom had some "confetti cake" mix from another maker in the pantry.
Needless to say, it tastes bland and empty. The only thing bringing it together is chocolate frosting...

Also, who calls their partner 'shorty'?
No one, but males sometimes call their partner 'shawwty'.
Both are horrendous.
I see zero appeal in those titles, either... I mean, I GUESS if your partner is shorter than you?
But it seems a little demeaning @_@
Then again, I hate it when guys call me a range of pet names in general (who I do not know intimately), so it tends to ruin all of them for me.

EID MUBARAK TO ALL MY FELLOW MUSLIM FAKKUZA (which, as far as I know, extends to Cinia Pacifica, devonfire, maybe ryuuhagoku and zeroniv_legend)!Spoiler:
Hope you had a great Eid, dude!
I saw some lovely photos of my friend looking all nice for the occasion, it sounds like a great time to celebrate the culmination of Ramadan (correct me if I am wrong, that was the impression I was under ;3;' ).
Yes. My home has a staircase in the back hall, by the garage, as well as a more grand one in the front (by the front door/foyer area). Not including the stairs to the basement and pull-down ladder to the attic (which has no storage/use space, as there are no floorboards above the insulation).
Then again, I have a bougie house.

Ooooh, yeah, mending and maintenance is also therapeutic.
I find doing work like picking at something, small detail work, or some kind of handicraft really relaxes and focuses me.
Weeding works great for that too~
