It had a selection of hentai anime but they never really focused on it so it was never really updated. Not surprised it's gone.

It's for the best. Fakku is best known for its manga and its exclusives. It's better to focus on and dedicate to one medium and excel at it than to branch out then never do anything with animation. Especially when other websites you're competing with do a far better job at doing it.

Licensing the videos may have also been an issue. But don't take my word on that.

So, it's basically a horror game.

Thanks to Google Maps, yes.

Going alright. How are you?

Got my first jab the other day and the center was in a location I hadn't been to in years, so that was oddly nostalgic. Managed to book mine the exact same day and time as my friend, so we went up together and made a day of it. Turns out I managed to book it at the same time as my friend because the place had more vaccine than people to receive it due to underbookings, to their own admission.

The current tagging system as a whole is barely functional, especially compared to those of certain other websites that will not be named, but the current lack of tags in general is probably one of the biggest issues.

I feel your frustration as far as functionality goes.

I suggested a while back Sankaku Renai should have the Incest tag because one of the routes has you fuck your blood-relative sister. I've also been moaning about the catgirl tag being broken in multi-tag searches for nearly a year, if not more.

Also may or may not be addicted to gacha games...

I've done well to avoid them... but Genshin is just too fun to not play. I love the combat. Shame I've hit the content wall pretty hard so it really is just doing dailies and getting my daily ores and artifacts from around the game map to help toward character progression independant of the Resin system. From time to time I like to try dicking about with team compositions with characters I have.

As for IB, I saw that the RP boards got merged with the main forums, but not much else changed.

Yeah it's a desolate wasteland now, bar those RP threads. I guess that was the reason for the change. People still make IB-content threads there but they don't get a lot of responses. All you see at the top of the list at any time are the ChaTFaG threads

I used to comment a lot on doujins and the like in the 2010s.

I remember those quite fondly, they were funny. I used to do the same for a short time although I wasn't quite as creative as you were.
Funny comments I feel have gotten stale the past coming years. A lot of manga I see with top comments are "Goddess of Sequels", or praising her when it is one. Or just generally begging for a sequel. After the 500th manga has yet another variation of the same comment, you kind of start detesting them. Thankfully those seem to have died down of late.

Glad to hear you're doing alright man.

By the way this is still an issue, so I'm bumping this thread.

This is not a controversial tag and is actively viewable from the tags page, but being unable to be searched prevents multi-tag searches with the catgirl tag in, which also means being unable to omit certain tags from searches. A surprising amount of catgirl content is just a cosplay.

Funnily enough I thought about you the other day. Welcome back, man. How're you doing?

You haven't missed much, to be honest. Dunno if you were around for it but Fakku went legit, so that's a thing.
Website's still broken in places; some tag searches show up no results despite not being controversial content. Sucks trying to find catgirl content that isn't cosplay, as a result. I first reported that over a year ago, and made two posts about it.
Private messaging was turned off, can't view user posts without URL manipulation, reputation and comment upvotes are one and the same, you automatically +1 your own post when you post, and there's a Discord server. There might be more but I don't remember them right now. All minor things, really.

Oh, a major one is that Waar passed away a couple of years back.
Tegumi and Gambler also don't seem to be active these days, and what little moderation we have I haven't seen about much.

Preferably everything as someone who doesn't know the language. Background SFX aren't important but does help if they are translated.
Like one user mentions, retaining the honourifics are ideal; westernising them takes me out of the immersion.

As a kid I didn't have access to a lot of TV channels, so I missed out on a lot of anime like DBZ, Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto which people raved over, and the internet was still in its infancy so I couldn't just watch it anytime I liked. What I could watch with basic TV was one or two episodes per day dictated by scheduling, and even that was notorious for episode repeats and episode order inconsistencies. More annoying still was that episodes aired at the exact time I finished school, so I had to rely on my parents to record episodes for me on VHS tapes and they would often forget. With repeats, episodes aired out of order, parents forgetting, and VHS-quality recordings, trying to watch this shit could only be described as "infuriating", and that would still be an understatement.

But I digress. Over the years, I've managed to catch up with Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, GT, and Super - and while it's not official I've also watched DBZ Abridged many times. I also watched all of Bleach all the way through until the anime ended, and One Piece up until the timeskip. I still need to pick that back up. Even managed to watch shows I did watch in their intended episodic order, like Pokemon S1 and Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02. Even watched banned pokemon episodes and DA/DA02 in JP just to see what the difference was.
Spoiler:
As a sidenote/off-tangent rant, until I watched Digimon in JP I didn't realise that digivolving isn't even called "digivolving", it's simply "Evolution" with applicable added terms for anything from Champion upwards, or variations of Evolution like Warp or Armour.

Dubbing changes also include attacks, with the biggest victim of this being Gabumon/Garurumon. "Blue/Howling Blaster" as an attack name is very nondescript in terms of elemental typing. Because the attack name and artstyle didn't make it clear, the fire was blue, and Garurumon is introduced swimming (very well) in a lake, I simply associated it with water. So I thought Gabumon spat out water, and because of the additional effects in Garurumon's attack, I thought he spat out ice. Got very confused when Gabumon spat at a campfire to light it. In JP it's "Petit Fire/Fox Fire", which clearly tells you he breathes blue flames. Biyomon's attack "Spiral Twister", is also called "Magical Fire", so it's green fire. Which makes sense considering her fire-themed evolutions.

And those goddamn digimon analytic screens. In the dub they were still in Japanese despite being an English dub, so unless you knew Japanese they were useless for providing basic information about new digimon that appeared, bar their English names which were edited in. Because of this I wasn't aware of basic established concepts for the series like the three standard attributes Data, Vaccine, or Virus, or digimon stages which weren't even all verbally named in the dub until later. It's only when they're solving a puzzle in a castle to get back to Japan to chase after the third Big Bad Boss Myotismon, half way through the fucking season, do they namedrop stages and attributes.

Not to mention basic dubbing errors like Tai speaking with an entirely different voice saying "Hey check it out you can see right through this wall", or a random child saying "Biyomon over here! I'm coming!" in an episode.

The music choice in JP is a huge contrast to what the dub went with.

Right now I'm binging Naruto in JP (went with JP purely because I don't want to be put off by nonsensical dubbed anime censorship and I'm a fast reader).
For years I've been curious about what made the show so popular. It took me this long to do so because I was swayed by word of mouth and jokes on the internet that convinced me that the show was trash without even giving it a chance. But jokes get old, you start to think for yourself, and my curiosity has peaked.
I've done my homework to skip all the filler content, which I know the show is notorious for.
And I've got to say, I've been thoroughly enjoying it so far. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Has anyone else been in a similar boat, to catch up on shows you missed out on when you were younger?

I love the LOTR reference. I jokingly use that quote when I'm late meeting up with friends.

I know this post is old now but had to say something about the reference. Howdy.

I always enjoyed the Dragonball Budokai Tenkaichi games. I played the Super 22 game for ps1 a lot as a kid. Going back, I can see that one's not near as good as my memory tells me

A lot of media you enjoy as a kid tend to be pretty bad to an adult you. The nostalgia in a lot of cases is from how much enjoyment you got out of it despite its flaws, perhaps due to the lack of having other alternatives or just being into its style at the time. That being said this is not always the case, you may even find more enjoyment out of it as an adult due to getting the humour that flew by you when you were younger.

For the sake of keeping on topic, I'm not really big into fighting games as such, I find them repetitive and fairly boring. I'm more into RPGs with a good combat system, because I like me a good story to go with my fisticuffs. To name a few examples: Tales of Berseria, Xenoblade 2, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 (at least until it devolves into Ult-spamming in the later portions of the game), and more recently Genshin Impact, even despite getting characters and good gear boils down to RNG while gated behind a stamina system. I just wish they didn't love their time trials, though. I hate time trials.

Depends. Does it actively impact your real life?
If no, then no.
