I suggest Audacity.
It has an option to record what your sound card is playing, Start recording and open the flash game.
Save it when done.

You can try the Fastest fox extension for mozilla - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9825
It has a handy "Download Page Images" option on right-click. Wait till the page loads > Download page images > Select directory and tada!
(Only downside, all redundant images like sidebars, add icons are also DL-ed)

HOMM is a must play :) (I'll recommend HoMM 3 and 4 over 5 in terms of gameplay, 5 just has better graphics)
Try the Total War series: Shogun Total War (first thing that cam to mind when I played Rance), Rome Total War, Medieval Total War (all from the same series). The city management is similar to Rance but the battles are real time though.

If you are trying to make a new post after making one yourself it'll auto-edit. This is to prevent double posts.
And if you click the quote button, it'll take you to the advanced reply post rather than the quick reply. If you want to use quote in the quick reply option use the following syntax
[quote~]QUOTED TEXT HERE[/quote~]
or
[quote~="USERNAME"]QUOTED TEXT[/quote~]
remove the ~ (else I can't post the syntax without making a quote :P)

You can find more with different search tags I'm sure.
You can also try using Open Canvas, that's pretty good for drawing too~
