I feel like I haven't done a real update in a while, so here you go. I'll probably start posting a lot more raws from now on.

This is Tim Rogers. He's a pretty notorious douchebag. Up until recently, his writing was pretty much the opposite. He'd overanalyze the shit out of things like Final Fantasy games and talk about how cool he was for his hip urbane lifestyle in Tokyo. He makes a living as a blogger, so he has to ratchet up the drama to get more pageviews. You'll notice he's working in an extremely nerdy industry - video games. Based on this and his past blog entries, his sense of social perspective is stunted, like a lot of nerdy people. He doesn't really analyze these problems he has as sociological issues but turns them into a list of grievances against his own fragile person.
I've been to Japan several times with several groups of people, and for most of them it was their first time in the country. There are several different reactions people have, but what's most common about people who have bad reactions is that they're unwilling to adapt. They can't conceive of a lifestyle that's different from what they're comfortable with. You have to adapt to the host culture, there's no way around it.
Some of these problems are legitimate, like being a vegetarian tee-totaler in Japan is probably impossible unless you live in a Buddhist monastery. But the tone of his article is that the country is his own little private wonderland that's gone to shit. If he had any maturity he'd consider the wider perspective and realize that social problems are best approached with empathy and not anger, and that a lot of these issues are common to other parts of the industrialized world. I could write up something even longer about how awful American suburban life is, but I'd just get laughed at for being a whiny baby. The only thing that's unique about this article is that it's in a news source frequented by people who have a favorable impression of the country.
Topic over. LD wins.
That's what Incoherent Babbling is for. Not chat topics specifically, but users are free to make whatever topics they want.

Ahhhh! so what you're saying is they are 'technically' not yet all gone, so I could still 'theoretically' purchase one off you...Where should I mail my horde of moneys?
Yeah you can still buy shirts, they just won't come with prints.

I want to apologize to everyone who ordered FAKKU shirts last month with the Cosplay Deviant prints. I am still waiting to receive all of the autographed prints which should arrive this week (I'm hoping tomorrow). And the moment they arrive I will be shipping all of the shirts out.
Alright FAKKU, I have never cosplayed before. Ever. And the pressure to do so has been building more and more lately. So if I were to cosplay a character, who should it be? What characters look like me?
Here are some pictures of me posted in the Post Your Pics topic. And yes I know, I am a goofy looking Italian boy.

Every time i go on IB that annoying song "Shut up and Explode" comes on! The little tab at the top of the page says "RUN AWAY RUN AWAY RUN AWAY." Is it just my computer?
It must be your computer, it's not happening to anyone else.

Yesh...they are custom Pikachu pajamas shipped from Japan :3I wouldn't say they were custom. When I was in Japan this past winter two of my friends purchased a one-size-fits-all from the DonQuixote store.
I didn't mean custom as in custom to myself. I guess I worded my sentence wrong. I meant that it was shipped all the way from Japan...not just something I bought around here. That is what the custom in that sentence meant.
Either way, it's damn cute and I want one.
So as you know over the past year I have been roaming from convention to convention meeting the fine users of FAKKU in person, and that was more than enough to keep me happy. And as you've seen most of the time we set up a booth with some stuff, have fun talking to people, and run around like fools. Well this year we are going to do things a bit different... we are going to be running some of our very own panels!
And I figure if I am going to be running a panel I might as well ask everyone to help me make it. This is a win/win for me because it allows me to be lazy and have a panel that you find interesting! The very first panel we will be running this year will be at Anime Boston. The name of the panel is "Hentai Worth Watching". So if you are going to the convention you had better attend.
The panel is 60 minutes long and the basic idea for the panel is as follows:
I feel that hentai anime in the United States is seen as a joke by the general public. And in some cases this is completely justified. But in reality there is a lot of really good hentai anime out there with amazing art and a good story. So this panel is intended to talk about some of the things done wrong with hentai brought over to the United States, and show some of the good stuff.
So FAKKU, what should we talk about?
And feel free to suggest other panel ideas you would like to see us do.

Unfortunately I don't know what ad is causing this problem, or I would block it. If anyone can tell me what website it redirects to I can probably figure it out.
