First off happy new years everyone! I hope you all had fun and were safe and all that nonsense. Over the next week I am going to do something different and talk about some of my favorite things that came out of 2009. The first of these posts will be about my favorite translators, so lets get started.

#1. [color=#9D0A0A]Yandere Translations[/color]



Yandere Translations is responsible for a huge amount of my free time being spent playing games when I should have been outside socializing or doing something productive. With their releases of Wanko to Kurasou, Sengoku Rance, and soon Swan Song, they are one of the best groups around.

#2. [color=#9D0A0A]redCoMet Translation[/color]



After posting their first ever translation directly on our forums, Toradora - Attachment, they created their own blog and have been releasing things ever since. Now a few months later they already have over 50 releases and a huge following. Not to mention Cyatomorrow and Shadow are two very cool guys, so I am looking forward to seeing more of their stuff.

YQII is the first translation group not affiliated with FAKKU to have their blog hosted on our servers. But long before that I was a big fan of their releases and checked their blog regularly. If you like good stories and the occasional loli, you should be following them.

Of course this list could be a lot longer, but I limited myself to three. But don't let that stop you from checking out more. And to wrap things up, follow us on Twitter.

All of the CSS stylesheets for FAKKU are external (as far as I know), which means anyone could make modified one and share them with other people. I have always hoped someone would make different styles and upload them to http://userstyles.org

but no one has :(

Remember that Cosplay Deviants live stream we did a couple of months ago? Well the results are finally online for all to see! What happens when a package from FAKKU arrives? Just click the images below to check it out.

And to answer some questions that popped up last time we did this. Cosplay Deviants did this completely on their own, we didn't pay them anything. They offered to do it because they are awesome and we like people that are awesome. But more importantly, we like to give our support to people that are awesome.

In fact, sometimes Cosplay Deviants looks at the most favorited manga on FAKKU when they plan out who they are going to cosplay in their photoshoots. So technically you are responsible for some of their work. Either way, enjoy!

I wouldn't normally make a post like this, but I just bought 5 or 6 games for under $20 on the Steam store and I am pretty excited about it. Steam is an awesome game client so the more people using it the better. If you play PC games it's worth checking out.

Been a while since I last updated, been very busy with Christmas and whatnot. There probably won't be anything amazing happening here on Christmas day, but you can at least expect a decent update.

Which do you prefer and why? What games do you play?

You might remember that we launched Sanshee last week. Well I didn't do a very good job describing it at the time and since I don't have an update prepared for tonight.. I might as well explain it in some more detail. The goal with Sanshee is to make things that are awesome. And if I think they are awesome I am hoping that you all think they are pretty cool too.

One thing we are doing different is adding achievements to the site. You earn achievements based on things you do, things you buy, and things you post. For example there might be an achievement for buying the Liberty shirt and posing in front of The Statue of Liberty. And you might get achievements for things you do on the forum. As you earn the achievements you get free things; buttons to start and eventually shirts and whatever else we come up with. One cool thing we were doing was making people customized avatars for the forums. In fact we eventually hope to work with all of the awesome artists posting on FAKKU to come up with new ideas.

Speaking of achievements, if you were one of the first 50 people to order something from Sanshee in the past two weeks you will be getting a secret achievement (which we will be releasing sometime this week). And to celebrate the holiday season we are having a Christmas sale, if you order something this week I will do my best to make sure it gets shipped out before Christmas. So check it out and leave me some feedback about what you think.

This is a little later than I wanted ... but finally, it's here. And first off, HAPPY BIRTHDAY FAKKU! We turn three years old today! I am truly fortunate to still be here working on the site and being a part of this awesome community. Creating FAKKU is one of the best things I ever did. I honestly owe each and every one of you a huge debt of gratitude. I have learned a lot over the past 3 years and met a lot of awesome people. So, thank you.

And this leads to my big announcement. Rather than do another hentai filled update (which we honestly we do a lot of around here on a daily basis anyway) I figured I would instead make public a project I have been working on for a long time. I would never have been able to do things like this if it wasn't for FAKKU, so I figure you guys all deserve to know about it first. And thus I introduce, Sanshee!
