Eps 21Spoiler:
All those are mostly irrelevant (honestly it's just a filler) to the "main plot", and they decided to cut it, which is IMO a good decision, since we only have 4 episodes left. I rather have this cut than the epilogue.
If they still plan to use "this" they can make an OVA out of it or maybe insert it in season 2.
Spoiler:
I supposed that's true. Well, I'm just disappointed since I was really curious how the studio plan on fusing jellyfish and elephant.
At least it's not a too 'meh' episode, we got a good look upon Suguha's feeling.

To those who are still confused about the gayy and lesbo action:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonobo#Sexual_social_behavior
Basically, from my understanding from novel readers:
Their culture has been genetically designed similar to the Bonobo monkeys.
Before puberty and ovulation, they're all supposed to be Hetero, but when they hit puberty, they change into mainly Homos (they're basically bi, but society encourages a homo relationship at that age) to prevent "teen pregnancy" while still able to release sexual tension. They will go back to Hetero once they're adults..
This explains, like, a lot.
eps 9
Spoiler:
Speaking cinematographically, it gets better in the second arc ALO.
I agree, the original novels kick the shit out of the anime.
And no, even without chapter 16.5, the novel still kick ass IMO.

Eps 8
Come on, why is the artwork went messy again? Not as much as 2 eps before, but still.

Episode 7
[spoil]Aika's freaking scary, that puppetress. I'm gonna be mad if it turns out she went two time.[spoil]

It seems horribly unbalanced Suguha said that illusion wasn't that useful in combat but Kirito used it and proceeded to take on a transformation and decimate foes he couldn't touch before im pretty sure thats not how illusion works. They explain it pretty clearly in the novels. A short excerpt.
Spoiler:
So yea, a boss
Yes, because not everyone who uses it has stats like Kirito. Said illusion spell depends on a player's stats.
Want to ask something a bit: the impression I got when I read the novel is that the monster is pure illusion while Kirito is the one doing the attacking, and the shape is so scary because of Kirito's high combat skill. Then again, in the anime it's like it's no illusion skill, more like morphing skill. Me is confused.
