You're assuming Nnoitra was good. You said if the person is evil, they go to hell. Nnoitra was pretty much on the evil side to me.

OT: You know Ichigo initiated massive changes, did you? And the Shinigami did look the same all those years because they age very damn slow - Rukia is already way way old in terms of age. Like centuries. But Kubo is kind of inconsistent with age statements and flashbacks.

And take note of personality and attitude changes. In the manga Toshiro Hitsugaya became some sort of brooding nerd with a loss of hair wax and a shorter haircut. But give him some hair wax, let his hair grow and make him scowl and you'll see the original one. The other two captains looked the same except for their new haoris. Renji still looks like an ass and Baldy on the left sports the same sneer since Volume 18.

And Rukia only got promoted and got a short haircut.

Not much of a major change to me.
