How much would you rate the White Album series, Kai? I'd like an opinion.
White Album (the 1st), was an 8/10 for it's use of drama and romance. Your main character already got a girlfriend how many Vns have that. But what it lacks is probably the "backlash" of decisions. Tooya can freely choose any girl he wants, but receive minimal backlash from Yuki in the narration. The most climatic one, is probably when you choose Rina. Music is just for show
White Album 2, was a 10/10 for me, since it has great character development. It starts of very early, when all the main characters are in highschool, they get to know each other from music (plot device), then they form a band for the festival. At that time the characters start to interact and develop their relations and conflicts occur when the male main character Haruki, can't stop both the love of 2 Setsuna and Kazusa. But the conflict didn't just stop there, 3 years later it resulted in a sort of traumatic feeling for Haruki, so in college he thinks he's unable to love anyone. At that time 3 new female characters are introduce, which have different affects on Haruki's emotions.
I'll stop here, it's going to be a wall of text if I keep writing.
TL;DR
If you like Heavy Romance Drama, this one is for you. In the end Music is more relevant in White Album 2. Where as in WA 1, it's just "she sang that song" that's it.
In white album 2, their original band song, later became a mysterious hit where people loved the song but don't know the singers/band. This becomes a "pain" for Haruki where he will keep turning off the radio when they air it. Personally to the player/reader, those songs will connect with the player/reader more emotionally than the songs in WA 1, because the player/reader was "a part" of that song.

Damn you, now I want to install and play it all again.
I see...does WA 2 need anything from WA 1? Because I feel like jumping straight to 2 if music has a bigger significance there.
Also, you're welcome. :]
There's nothing major related. It's just that the song "White Album" that connects 3 of them, and they decided to sing "White Album" and "Sounds of Destiny" as their opening songs in the festival.
Besides that, there's no relation, because WA 1 happened in 1986, while WA2 happened in 2000-ish.
In sense, it's just a "spiritual sequel", Just like with To Heart and To Heart 2, the only thing that's relevant is the school.

Put both of them in a spontaneous fight
Teleport both of them while they are sleeping with their costumes at that time only

-Where Batman doesn't have the time to prepare his tools
I honestly hate Batman Vs threads, where people will post: If Batman have "enough time" to prepare
He doesn't have to prepare. He analyzes the situation and takes the best action to take down his enemy. He will use what he has on him in a short time for example when he was fighting Amazo in Under the Red Hood, who has the powers of superman, analyzed his weakness, made time, and defeated him. He also owns a lanturn ring which he received in Batman: In Darkest Knight.
My post is directed to those people who "will" write "If batman has time to prepare" excuse.
I did not mention Batman will lose or Wolverine will win.
Didn't think people would seriously think this was a real thread.
Just wished people would react the same when these Vns were translated:
- G-senjou no Maou
- Kara no Shoujo
- Yu-No
- Muv Luv Alternative
- Umineko
- etc
Just wish people would "insult" other people for not playing those. People calling other blasphemy for not playing those. And people making "hundreds" of threads until people start calling them "There's too much threads about x VN"
Like I said double standards, Where's the equal treatment~~~
I wanna see your great list of recommendations... last time I saw it; I didn't even have the space on my HDD for 'em lol.
My recommendation that people will just shrug away because it's not translated:
(in no spesific order)
-Baldr Sky (Sci-fi Cyber Punk action)
-White Album 2 ("serious" Romance Drama)
-Maji de Watashi ni Koishinasai (partial translated/ Slice of life comedy action)
-Steins;Gate (sci fi time travel/ Final stages of translating)
-To Heart 2 (Slice of Life Romance/ partial translation)
-Bishoujo Mangekyo (Mystery romance)
- etc
And seriously I won't go off telling people that they're wrong for not playing VNs that I highly recommend.
If you're at my level, you won't care about people "playing it or not". If I did care, my head would explode, because people won't even care about my recommendations, even though it's the "BEST VN OF THE YEAR"
So, I'm psychologically wrong?
I'm the one that's supposed to be offended here.
shit, double standards.. again
So why haven't you played KS Kaimax? I'd expect you to have already finished all the routes before it was even released.
Cause:
1. Kansen 5 ~The Daybreak~ released before KS : Finished
2. White Album 2 Closing Chapter That was released before KS : Just finished, hell long (Main Reason)
3. Bishoujou Mangekyou that was also released before KS : Status finished
4. Console gaming
5. VN back log
6. Working Final Thesis
7. Exams Current main reason
and honestly the wait has killed my hype, so it's not on top priority anymore. When KS was released I was still playing White Album, of course I can't sacrifice it for KS. White Album is made by LEAF, a company that has already earned my love for years, KS is by an indie group that hasn't earned my love yet. So, it's obvious which one I would prioritize more.
Lol, "friends will find you". Since I started playing Bf 3, I now have 3 new PSN friends all of them are Japanese with Asian power level.. lol
It always starts with me finding them a very good team player. Like my previous post when I was piloting a Transport Helicopter while that person can make many kills with my piloting, and the other way around. After that I just send them a "Good shooting" message, the next day they'll send a Friend request.. lol
