This is really turning up into a good anime if they keep on focusing most on the competitive aspect. Those swimming animation was great.
Seriously, stop calling this a Yaoi anime when there's nothing about it, keep calling it and there's something insecure in you that you need to check.
It's a fact that Fujoshi's will make yaoi doujins out of it, but that happens to every anime/manga that has more than 2 males...

The progression is that the years pass by and she's wasting her highschool days. Duh.That's just staying in place while wasting time, which is not progression.

Personally, I think it's better this way because people always like to pick on the new guy O_O.Not really. Only if they go to IB and say something stupid.
I seriously don't know why IB is such a noob magnet. First time I came here the only section that I don't go frequently is the one that says "lacking intelligence" and just hang out at sections where I know I'm comfortable without even trying.

but I should watch Bakuman, it sounds very interesting, thanks.Read the manga, the anime was a very shortened version of it.
And remember that's just your opinion of Fairy Tail. Which doesn't mean a thing to the whole magazine or how "easy" one can create a manga. Reverse the logic, if it's that easy, and why are there cancelled series, why are there rejected series, and why are there losers in the each newbie manga competitions? because it's not easy to make an interesting manga with a good enough story.
The Japanese manga industry it's not mainly about how great the story, but in the end it's mostly about how interesting the story can be expanded and the progression of it's characters.
One example is "Kagami no Kuni Harisugawa", made by Kano Yasuhiro. It has a very interesting concept, and was accepted in Shonen Jump the same manga magazine that serializes naruto and one piece. But it was cancelled early because the author himself realized that he cannot expand the story with the protagonist trapped inside a mirror, hence also failing the progression of it's characters.
Another example of how rough the industry can be is "Double Arts". It's made by Komi Naoshi, it also has a very interesting story and it has a large cult following, but it was canceled due to the loss of popularity (was the least popular in the manga rankings).
Currently, Komi Naoshi, has once again rejoined JUMP with his newest series "Nisekoi", while Kano Yasuhiro is still struggling to go back with the last new one-shot "Brand new School Day", which was released in April, and looks like it's not accepted for serialization.

If you read Bakuman, you'll get the gist of how hard it is to survive Japan's manga industry.
First and foremost, every aspiring mangaka must have their "story" serialized in one of the many manga magazines in Japan. They can't self-publish them, outside of dojinshis. (an alternative is Ken Akamatsu's website where people can self publish, but it's not really working out atm.)
Sure you can draw good, but if you don't have the ability to write good interesting stories that can keep hooking more and more people you won't get far. At a minimal, you can do a collaboration with someone else doing the story part.
The barrier of entry isn't that hard, but after getting serialized is the real challenge. MANY "accepted" mangakas got shot down (canceled with rushed ending), because they can't compete with the mainstreams.

too culturally different in terms of gameplay , difficulty ,motif or concept.and what makes that relevant to region locking?
-I can read Japanese just fine.
-I play and finished the Japanese ver. of Catherine which is much harder.
-I like playing quirky Japanese games much better than the AAA scene.
The only valid reason for region locking is region pricing.
Like what happened for Pesona 4 arena, the first disc based region locked game for the PS3. This was done to prevent Japanese people importing the identical US version because it was cheaper and it will hurt the sales in Japan.
Other than that, any other reasons are just bullshit.

They updated the site with the Opening sequence and screen shots.
I would likt to post the video, but nothing youtube yet, and I can only get the LQ version since I don't have a premium membership anymore in Nico Douga. the LQ version is just ugly.
Found it.
6 more characters introduced btw.
Lol, one of the new characters is voice by Ono Daisuke.

The only thing I miss about it is that I was able to somewhat show my appreciation for something with it. It was just a quick "hey, thanks" or "that's funny."QFT

Currently playing Es:cude's Sensuibu.
the gameplay mechanic is like "super robot wars + Akatoki's damage screens with swimsuits". So, it plays on a grid tile map, turn based, with diving and surfacing as quirks to make things a bit more complicated.
there are 2 types of attack corresponding to 2 types of life gauges, 1 is the normal water attack (varieties with higher levels), a unit is removed from play when that gauge reaches zero, and the SP bullet attack, which is a gooey slimy attack, that decreases the defense? of that unit significantly.
Diving includes another layer of gameplay, in which diving units are stealthy and cannot be attacked with regular means. Dived units can also ambush another unit, but they cannot attack after each move.
Each of your character has 4 types of classes, unique to each character. This also ties with the H-scene, so replaying the thing multiple times cannot be avoided. Unless your brave and smart enough to think out a new strategy on the go. One of the character base class is the Defender class, leveled it up to become a Knight and then a Guardian, which is obvious what it does. But her 2nd class is a Diver Class, haven't tried that yet but it's also obvious.
The difficulty curve isn't that steep, but proper placement and utilizing skills and the terrain is key. (currently I like to "turtling", but looks like I have to change it sooner or later)
Currently playing story wise, it's the regular competitive love VN, there's no magic stuff, no evil cults or living figures in this one.
-----EDIT---------
Finished 1 route, but I don't think you can get all the Unit Class H-scenes in one go. I've finished one Class with an expert while 3 other are barely touched. God damn replayability, God bless "New Game +".
Well, in new Game plus only your skills and current level of Classes retain, only your stats that got a reset, the growth of the stat is influenced by the classes.

Watched episode 1, and then marathon'ed the manga to the latest chapter...but I just can't like this wholeheartedly as I used to do with any other animes/mangas as bad as they are.
I understand the appeal of the ugly girl doing things, but the lack of actual character development and the will of the character to actually develop is the one obstacle that's preventing from liking it.

If the game doesn't give out any other incentive/bonuses than just being challenging, than it's all normal for me.
