Not really strange and confusing coming from Leaf/Aquaplus. All of their "numbered sequels" are actually "Stand Alone Sequels". They share the same timeline but almost never involves previous characters, but it is certain that these "sequels" happens in a much later time after the previous.

To Heart 1 -> To Heart 2 : Same school, town and timeline (2 years later) with different characters.
White Album 1 -> White Album 2 : Same theme and within the same timeline just years later with different characters

This is also going to happen with how Utawarerumono 2 is going to be developed.

IF 1 title = 24 episodes, that means you've watched 8736 episodes (4732 if 13).

20.000 hours is a very specific exaggeration if not accompanied by a source...
(If 1 episode was 24 minutes, this means 50.000 episodes watched. and if 1 title has 24 episodes, this means 2083 titles.)

According to that, there are roughly 4000-5000 titles released in 85 years from 1917-2002. If there are 2083 titles watched, then you must be older than my grandfather.

So, it failed and tanked as expected.

BD release was canceled 2 days before the date. Nico2 only confirmed 52 per-orders.
Another anime that experienced this was "Shangri-La", which canceled releases due to the low number of orders. Only releasing the full box set months later.

But the funny thing is, I'm currently being flamed in MAL for stating a fact. lol

It's always cooler to be the first.
Same thing with Seta Souji to Narukami Yu. The animated version will always be the "official" naming in persona's case. All of those "first" names, only came from the manga adaptation, not from the main production team.

Even the Japanese Wiki is now using Makoto Yuki.

Not really, some players I found has the usual complaint of "this is a bad adaptation because of the pacing", some are even mad at the changes of the evidences.

Because it was the "Tutorial Chapter" in the game. Everything was made obvious, you just need to make sure you don't fuck it up in the trials.

Don't worry things will get pretty complicated especially the last 3 chapters before the final chapter (DR has 6 chapters)
