Well Jun Fukuyama (almost) literally voices everybody important in animes; I'm sure the case is true for the female VA too, so I guess it could be expected. But it's also a economic anime similar to S&W, so maybe it was a fluke; maybe not.
Its the same director who did spice and wolf too, so he probly had a preference for those two.
Same singer for the OP and ED, same music studio "Flying Dog".
And Even though both SW and MY are about economics, but they're both on the each end of the economic spectrum.
SW, a story of a traveling merchant, so it's generally microeconomics.
MY, a story about a demon queen an her Yuusha, trying to rebuild a country, so it's generally macroeconomics.

What is it with people calling the character design "Generic". Nobody called the character designs for Spice and Wolf Generic when it first came out...

I'm not referring to the artstyle, which I also love Ishida's style more. But the part where you point out, "Looks like they're gonna rush it to "that" part, and then referring back to the manga chapters, while in fact, they're not adapting the manga, but the Light Novel and all the things in it.
Now, the anime adaptation is receiving unfair flak because of one manga adaptation. Most people know are judging solely because of the art difference, Suddenly being harsher on this despite they're basically the same story.

that's what makes it wrong, people comparing it to the mangas. Eventhough all 3 mangas (not counting the 4-koma) follows the novel closely, but they don't have the same focus with the novel.

Most of the people loves the "Akira Ishida" version to much, that they forget about the Light Novel.
Remember the scene where the characters line up on the hill?

Not really having a problem with the story since it's a casual series for me. Wasn't expecting the new monster girl to appear.
If it's going to be just like the original doujin, then I'm honestly better off with that..Problem is, This is not a comedy sketch and I'm hungry for any kind of character development.

Subjective matter...and honestly just because a group chose [insert genre] to translate more doesn't automatically means they're the best.
You need to base your judgement of quality not content:
-Translation accuracy and choice of words
-Page Cleaning/typesetting/redraws
-Speed and frequency

I'm none of those "labels", In the end, it all depends on the game, and that makes me a Jack of All trades.
I will be a completionist for games that I really love, Speed Runner for meh games I just want to finish, Hoarder when the game allows it, Ghost when the game allows it, etc etc.
